Starting my 2nd grow(1st still in flowering)

Well I finally got my 1st grow going right..better cfl's ect. up to 402actual watts! in flowering and doing fine. So me being the person I am (not 1 to set around and wait) I decided to germ 5 critical fem seeds..so 4 of 5 have popped and in medium/pert. Under 18/6. Im going to vegs theses girls for atleast 4 weeks before even thinking about the flower stage. Im going to practice with my LST on them and see how it go's!

Question...can you FIM or top before you LST or just LST? Anyone ever done both?

well im a newb also and i just did the same as u i got 6 in 4th week of flowerin and just got some clones of afgann kush and purple mr. nice guy and imma start veggin them now but for ur question from what i heard read and seen i believe u can do either before u lst them look into it a lil more first but i think so u got pics of ur ladys in flowering would love to see them

technically LST means low stress training, so you dont want to top with it...because that is stress.

That said, you can top the train the new side growth to ge a more even canopy...Kinda like doing both i Guess

True LST means you do things without cutting like bending the plant over so the grow tip is at least horizontal to the ground. This will promote side growth also.

heres a couple of pics i posted yesterday...still waitin for the inlaws to go home...i have 9 outlets for cfls..learned i needed more watts so I add 3 65 watters to get total up

There are a few little plants in the back I have been trying different soil/nutes/fim/topping with..just kinda learning..Its all bag seed so better to lose on these then high $ fem seeds

good plan. Things are looking stretched. with clfs, you need those plants within an inch or 2 if possible to keep dense growth. With those stretched ones, if you want to try cloning those will be perfect. You can take off the top and use it as a clone...Accomplishes branching, shortening plant, and learn about cloning...And if you succeed, hell you got another plant

The plants do look happy though...nice and green and soil looks nice. keep it up

In all honesty, I went a little overboard with this one. From bottom of pot to top of plant was less than 12" and I had 9 or 10 main branches.

so your sayin to LST it and after the new nods have grew a lil you an top of FIM them??? also how these plants look this is my first grow there going on week 4 in flowering with a 1000 HPS

crazy i topped mine once and vegged it for 4 week and it was pretty shorty and bushy this is just awesome and crazy all together how long was it in veg for?

I had topped a few of those small plants and waited for the new nodes to grew in..yesterday I use some tape and tapes down 1 leaf on each to get the bend going...man they started turning towards the light! My job is kicking my ass..worked 14 hrs a day for the last 3 days. So to burntout to do shit... I will post pics in a day or 2..

BTW...420 those plants look nice..what is the strain?

Also I did walk in today and my place today..and wow it smelt like fresh bud lol...and here I was thinkin' my home make vent/carbon system was workin'...guess not..
Any 1 got any DIY for vents?

ok ok ok...I got bored so I broke out the cam and took a pic of 1 of my bag seed plants that i topped and just LST'd...I was attempting to do a 12/12 from seed but thought WTH lets try this lst stuff and put them back in the veg stage..cant figure out why I had yellow leafs but I think I got rid of that issue...Any advice I can get would be greatly appreciated!

well the to plants u shower are lookin good so far i havent LST any yet just topped and i was happy with toppin them to be honest i dont know which one is what this gro my boy gave me a few seeds one was a og one i dont know at all and another was a headband

a couple of updated pics..I topped 1 of them and I FIM the other.
Im going to wait a few more days and then fim/top again.
