Starting from seed

Hello,

Quick question. When placing seeds directly into the aerogarden medium should I have the lights turned on at any time before the seedling pops up? Also, any idea what my pump settings should be? The aerogarden medium is easily saturated so I dont think the recommended 60 mins on 30 mins off is a good idea to start.

Forgot to mention I have the aerogarden Farm XL.

Any help is appreciated

i use a similar device for seed starting but i use rapid rooters. then you can put the rapid rooter into what ever your final medium will be: soil, coco, hydroton, etc
