Starting cfl grow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quick easy question

Im starting really soon got everything ready just need one or two things answered.Are the 100 watt cfl bulbs ok to just plug in a regular socket? Also If im running 400 watts of cfl with a cabinet about 36 inches high 13 inches deep and roughly 24 inches wide how many plants could i get in there? One more thing how big is it to use the diffrent type bulbs like the 2700 and so on ? imean is it just crazy to not do this?

2 plants.. the 100w equivalent or actual watts?

You want to use 6500k bulbs for vegging and 2700k for flowering. It never hurts to throw a 6500k or two while flowering just for a little mix in the spectrum.

Do you mean a power outlet socket or a lightbulb socket?

wow some people are putting replies that make no sense. Yeah those big! 100w-300 equivalent cfls right? yeah any type of [COMPACT] Fluorescent will go in a regular socket most of the time. so if it looks like it can it can. only those long tubey things called fluorescent bulbs need a fixture. hope this helps! and i always thought i could fit a bunch of bulbs in but you gotta remember about HEAT! so manage your stuff out man good luck growing.

thank you extremist ... any recommendations about what strains are good to grow with my limited space..i know autoflowers are good buti want something that i can yield as much as possible off of..so if you guys had my 36 inch high 24 inch wide 13 inch deep grow box what strain would you plant for the most possible yield ? quality is not as important as quantity..the stuff around here blows so anything is special

i would think only 1 plant unless you want VERY small ones.. with only having 13 inches deep it will be hard.. you also have to consider the room for the bulbs, fans, pots, and the actual branching.. im doing a 12/12 from seed and its wider than a foot 35 days into flowering.. the others growing that were vegged only 2 weeks and about a foot and a half and about 3 feet tall not including the pot they are in.. you can top/lst for the height but the width your kinda S.O.L... thats but my opinion

Go with a high % indica strain, it will help with height and produce more than the sativa counterpart.
