thanks for the fast replies. I guess the question now is actually when to transplant since they are already in the one gals... I mixed some kelp meal into the final 5 gal pots so that's why i didn't start em in those
Id stay with 5 gallon.
the information ive gotten from delicious seeds recommends 3 gal pot from start to finish
but never have to spend $ on seed if you make your own... after buying the 1st pack of any given strain anyway...I only buy feminized seeds so no sexing for me
I'm growing a Pak Ryder right now and have transplanted a few times without any noticable stress...
IN addition, the recent transplant went from a 2 gallon to 3.5 gallon... I had roots sticking out the bottom of the 2 gallon and am expecting roots from the 3.5 in a week or two.
This is my first grow and the autos grow crazy.... they could easily fitll a 5 gallon... no doubt about it.
And why not give them extra room rather than root bounding them??
