Iriemember13 is it Dutch Passion's Strawberry Cough or the Clone? I've grown Dutch Passion's version for a couple of years, if that's the strain I can give you some of my experience.

.

i got the seed from dispencery in san diego not sure where they got it but the strain was one of the best strawberry coughs ive ever had so i kept the seed...

and i already have the bitonicare grow and bloom nutrients but is that all the nutrients i should put into the water or should i add other nuts to water also
and do i feed every other day or every other water?

sorry for the hijack - hobbes do you use SC for anxiety or know anyone who does? If so, would you recommend it?

Hi Rucca!

Yes I grew Strawberry Cough for anxiety for one person - he finds it excellent for reducing anxiety but it's not too potent so a person can still be functional while on it. Very relaxing high. Actually it's potent for people without a high tolerance, it puts my friends away. A very good yielding strain, 9 to 10 weeks flower. No strawberry taste in any of the 4 females from seed I had nor any of their clones.

If you're looking for a medium potency stain Strawberry Cough is a great option. Easy to grow, forgiving of my many mistakes, high yielding. I've got a bucket in late flower now.

I'd recommend looking for a Strawberry Cough original clone or feminized seeds from the original clone. More of a strawberry taste and more potent.

Strawberry Delight (or Strawberry Diesel - SC x Diesel) is also a good option.

Germination - distilled water (see Germination chapter, Weed Science)

Per Gallon of Water - I feed every watering, 2 gallons of water per 5 gallon bucket once a week

Veg

Fox Farm Big Bloom and Grow Big
1/4 tsp each - seedlings
1 tsp each - remainder of veg

1/2 tsp Hygrozyme
1/2 tsp Liquid Karma
1/2 tsp Dark Energy (I have no idea what this does, I just like the name. Cool design on the bottle. My plants grow better with it, maybe because I like the name.)

.

Flower

1/2 tsp of one - Fox Farm Solubles: Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha Ching.

1/2 tsp - Hygrozyme
1/2 tsp - Liquid Karma
1/2 tsp - Dark Energy
1/2 tsp - Super Nova

Skip these for your first few grows, they can burn leaves and bud
1/4 tsp 2nd half of flower - Kool Bloom
1/8 tsp late flower (reduce solubles) - Big Bud
1/4 tsp mid flower for several weeks (reduce solubles) - Gravity

Great stuff, give as much as you want.
1.5 tbs 2nd half of flower - Over Drive

Thanks Hobbes!

I have a patient that really wants to try it so I'll prolly give it a go. Would you recommend the Strawberry Delight as a more potent version of SC? Pretty high tolerance for this patient

I would like to have a cutting of the original clone rather than a Kushman clone or seed. There are some online clone shops that you may be able to get to or that can deliver to you.

I have no experience with these shops, I'm just putting them up for examples.

.

My second choice would be feminized seeds from the original clone.

.

Third choice would be a cross with NYCD, which seems popular. I grew 4 SSD by Elite from seed and the clones several grows. I did not find it potent enough and stopped growing it. A footy taste, not entirely unpleasant. Mildly relaxing.

3 phenos from 6" to 18"

Rucca has your patient considered other strains? How do they consume? (smoke, vaporizer, eat, tincture?)

If find the high from a sublingual tincture to be incredibly relaxing, almost regardless of strain. The cannabinoids aren't changed by the first pass through the liver so it's a different high than edibles yet the swallowed tincture eventually gives some body stone. I find it to be a deeper high than vaporizing, like being washed by a wave. There's a link for sublingual tincture below, very easy to make good tincture the first time out.

.

Kali Mist is a very relaxing stone, like an up opiate. More potent than my Kushman's Strawberry Cough or Elite's Strawberry Diesel. It's long flowering, but worth the wait: my first grow took 18 weeks, I have it down to 12 weeks.

Irie I take a holistic approach - it's everything from: having the proper size pots that prune roots to promote root branching; to pulling fresh CO2 rich air from the living area up through the canopy and venting the O2 rich air to the living area; to giving the plants periods of intense light followed by periods of dim light. Amplifying nature rather than forcing the plant to live in a mechanical environment.

If you have the time to read the whole approach start with the Introduction to Weed Science, there's a download link at the bottom of this post.

.

so ive been reading on your weed science first off props its very informative and second off you say that you are getting about 5 to 7 pounds off of 12 plants? in just six weeks of flower?

The flower time is about the same as the breeders advertise, only a couple of strains harvest faster than advertised (Flo). A strain like Endless Sky would have a 6 week pheno that will yield more than any of my strain - I've got E.S. seeds and I'm growing a cross call The Dope that is going to be my biggest producer ever, probably 4 liters cured (8 oz). A strain like Kali Mist takes 12 weeks, a strain like Flo will produce only 2 litres (the high is worth the lower yield).

I do (conservatively) 3 liters a plant at (conservatively) 60 grams a liter x 12 plants = 2,160 grams (4.8 pounds) 4 week cured, 25% of cut weight. Some 3 litre strains could fit 14 buckets in my grow area, 12 is easier.

It took me some time but I found some pics of Strawberry Cough from last year. This is an average size plant, I've had larger. You could easily fit 14 of these under a 600 watt HPS with a light mover. This single plant bucket's yield was 3 litres + 2 decent sized colas that I didn't clip so I could give them to friends. When giving gifts presentation is sometimes important even if the high is no different. The more educated the Cannaseur the less presentation needed.

The bud in the left and right Jars and the two colas had been harvested earlier (multi harvest) and were already mostly dry and compact. With the middle green jar and two colas this plant dried to over 3 litres at just over 70 grams per litre - Strawberry Cough produces a relatively dense bud. If I concentrated on maximizing yield and potency I'm sure that I could yield a gallon a bucket of very potent well cured Strawberry Cough.

.

I believe this was what is referred to as a Kyle Kushman S.C. (Dutch Passion)

.

.

The colas were so heavy that the plant collapsed when I untied it from it's tomato cage support.

Hey Hobbes, hopefully you're subbed to this and you see it...

I'm going to work with SBC this coming year, I got it for it's anti-anxiety properties, I have horrible anxiety, and when I was in Cali I had some I knew it was for me...

I have a few questions though.. What is the stretch like? Maybe the percentage it stretches? I've also heard that each pheno is vastly different than each other one in a five pack of seeds...

So I yeah, hope you see this and big ups man, I've read a lot of your stuff and really appreciate it! :D
