Starting a 600w cupboard grow! any help appreciated

Hey guys this is my first grow,

I have a 600w HPS with an air cooled hood.
Will be making my own Carbon filter.
Cupboard is about 140cm wide (4.5 feet), 180cm (6 feet) high and 50 cm (1.6 feet) deep.

Will be using uncle bens topping technique for 4 main colas and thinking of going 6 plants vegged in a smaller cupboard with a 150w MH for Approx 4 weeks.

I Have some seeds from a friend, WW and ak 47 germinating ATM.

Rotation will be, Veg for 4 weeks then take clones to restock smaller cupboard. have 3 plants at first one one side and flower for 4 weeks. then when the second set of clones are ready (4-5 weeks) Fill the other side of the cupboard. Continue system on a half harvest every 4/5 weeks.

If i need more time for my Clonies to get size i plan on harvesting my main 4 colas and dropping the light to chunk up the smaller fuzzy buds maybe for a week just to fill the gap.

I am aware that the cupboard is small, but i would really like to fit 6 plants in with 4 colas each.

With said veg time of 4-5 weeks how do you think i will go? also and i know its hard to say but roughly how much per plant should i be aiming (or hoping ) to get with these given times.

Growing in a Soil/Perlite with and using Jack's classic nutes.

Any tips are more than welcome whether it's soil tips, nute tips, ANY tips

just interested on temps in a cab with 600 watts,

My cabinet is not as big as yours but three planst at maturity is CRAMPED !

Heya, well i was definately going to be running into some temp problems, Im hoping with the air cooled hood pulling the heat from the bulb through 6 inch straight out it should help.

If not i will put an intake hole at the bottom for cool air and worst case ill run the lights at night ( during summer etc )

The 600w in there running with no exhaust and just a normal reflective hood got daaamn hot so i know this is something i have to take into very serious consideration.

Oh trust me im having fun and i havent even got plants in there yet

Also Strax how long did you veg the 3 plants for and what strain are they?

6 plants too many. Going to need to blast cold air in. Min 90 deg with cool tube. In that small area. Prolly want a 400 an still need cool air going in. I have a 4x4 tent with 600 cool tube hood with a hellofa fan drawing heat out was still too hot. I took of A/C vent and jammed ducting up there then into tent aimed on hood. House is just a lil cold... but ill be cold for my bitches.

I am on my third grow and I vegged for about 4 weeks and finished after 8/9 weeks of flower. Made the flip to 12/12 around a foot tall and ended up around three feet.

I am sure that I could do some sort of scrog if I were smarter. I start with 6 regular seeds and have had 50% male to female on my first two grows. I am able to harvest around 4 oz.

I ran cfl's for side lighting and I think the heat was not worth the light. I am going with just the LED on this grow. even with just the LED I am up in the 84 degree area.

first grow was Chocolate Rain from E$cob@r
second was Nirvana Northern Lights
killed 8 nirvana Medusa seeds
third grow is G13xhaze and early thai x skunk

Thanks for the advice nickelz, I will try using a 400watt light with the same cooling hood run off a 440 cfm fan and see how i go.

Fingers crossed! Might have to run an air intake at the bottom still and consider lights on at night.

Fkin heat, just coming to summer here so thats going to put a real dampener on it.

I m growing in cupboard 195 high x 85 wide x 65 depth. I m able to put 4 plants over there. Temp is big deal during summer but in winter around 25-28. No excaust fan4

ahh cool elvl, are you vegging for long? topping at all? and what size pots are you using?

anyone else have any words of advice?

I m not patient like u guys. Using 12/12 from seed method. No vegging no topping. I m taking some clones from the bottom. I m not vertically limited i let them grow as high as its possible. My pots depend on strain I got white widows 4 weeks old from seed in 7.8 lt container.
