Starting 12/12 Purple Kush

Just put my ladies into the flowering room yesterday. I gave them 24 hours of dark before the switch. I've never tried it so, I figured i'd give it a try. They are under a 600 with some t-5 side lighting 2 feet up from the floor. T-5's help some with the side buds. I have 6 plants vegged around 7-8 weeks. They are all 36 in tall. I did no topping or training. I cut a third off the bottom but, left most of the leaves intact. 9-10 weeks and i'll be good to go. Any comments or advice always appreciated.

your T5 made me remeber using my t5 but had it turned on the side and angled upward to get direct light to the bottom of the leaves...turned out to be a good idea...FYi

I ran these ladies on 24/7 lights. I have one plant I ran on 18/6 for comparison. 24/7 plants much bigger. Though, the 18/6 plants color is much better. Will post a pic tomorrow.

when plants have the word "purple" in them, does it mean that the bud will have some purple color in it? sometimes i see buds and they look like regular stuff with no purple

Not all purple strains produce purple bud. Some of my colas are all green and some have hints of purple through them. The leaves around the bud are purple most times. I don't grow this strain for the color I grow it for the soothing effect it has when smoking.

Lighting comparison. Big plant run 24/7 lights. Smaller plant 18/6 lighting. Some folks say plants need a rest during veg. They forgot to tell mine. They can rest during flower.

I tried this my current run also with favorable results. I will go 24/0 during veg next time too

Part of the reason I run 24/7 lights is because I grow in a cold basement. The lights on non stop help keep both my rooms warm.

Here's a pic of my PK clones. 10 days in Pro Mix. All rooted now. 100% success rate last 5 times. I'll only keep the best 6 to veg and flower. These were taken off my 2 best ladies. The leftovers go in my compost pile. Hate to kill them but, oh well!
