Stalk Thickness correlation to Yield, is there any "study" data from the community?

I have been searching for something specifically on this subject and it's not coming up immediately in my search results anywhere, I have found threads regarding stalk thickness but not really correlated to yield. I am wondering if anyone has ever kept track of that or has data on it, are there any similar threads or articles anywhere out there?

Seems like they would (or could) have a pretty legitimate correlation to one another...

Anything? Am I not searching for the right thing?

Look up Heath Robinson tree grow and look at the stalk on the highest recorded grams per watt grow ever. I don't think there is a correlation there. I do think there is a correlation with how many roots and how bug the root ball is and the amount of yield. Also I believe that delivering the nuits to the roots is mission critical to getting maximum yield.

Na thickness of the stalk dont mean shit i know a dude that grows the thickest stalks ive ever seen his yield is garbage so is his bud!

Must be his genetics, My Blue Mango and G-13 both have 1 1/2 diameter stalks and they yield at least 4 O"s each in 2 1/2 gallon pots of coco under a 430 watt hps. Google stem diameter correlation. Nothing there on weed but a bunch on other plants.

indica's tend to be larger stemmed, sativa's thinner
and indica's tend to yield better, but probably not an hard and fast rule

I got 7.5 oz off my last Critical Jack plant in a 5g DWC which had a pretty decent sized stalk, I have an El Alquamista right now in SCROG that I am trying to judge when I want to flip to 12/12 and thinking about basing my decision on when it's stalk is say wider than a Bic lighter I might do the flip... I was thinking possibly larger but I don't want to invest too much more time into veg I wanted to shoot for a minimum of 10oz off this plant, it's basically an experiment it's in Rubbermaid Tote w/ 15g of nutrient solution but root mass isn't even close to taking advantage of it yet, screen is maybe 60% filled.

Everything else I have is in 5g DWC buckets and I generally expect no less than 4oz per plant but am trying to work may way up to an average more close to maybe 6oz. I grow good yielding strains, Critical Jack is fantastic and I hear this Alchemist is great too (Northern Lights x AK47)

I guess I was wondering how thick your average 1lb yielder is in DWC if there's been any kind of average correlation there (assuming the growth conditions are great)
