Staged harvesting (feeding question)

Hi just wondering about "stage harvesting" (harvesting finished buds first)

My plant looks like it'll finish up with the main colas done first but the lower 'popcorn' type buds will not be fully mature. my question is this. I plan on flushing the last week before i harvest the main colas. Im expecting a lot of yellowing and dying leaves at this point. if i leave the lower branches to finish up for a few more weeks, should i start feeding with my nutrient solution again to help fatten them up, then flush a 2nd time to finish the lower buds?

they will not get fatter . just keep flushing them. I have done this a few times in the past. they will only get more sparkly .

And since you're hoping for bud development...by adding N (to combat leaf yellowing), that is contrary to bud development.

interesting you say this coz I'm trying to keep em green until week 7 this time round. but as i say week 8 will be a flush so I'm expecting yellowing. so are you suggesting a light feeding after the flush to help the popcorn nugs along?

if you have room and the extra time why not bring a bit more bag appeal to those buds, itll def increase resin appearance I just did this when I was revegging a plant

GB,
No actually what I meant was by adding N, it will slow bud development.

ah sorry i miss read. well i am growing with lucas formula. so i been using bloom nutes all the way through. but i ran to the store recently to grab some veg nutes as i was seeing slight yellowing (I'm in week 3) i fed them once with some veg but I'm back to bloom now. I'm just going to see how they turn out if i keep em greener and happy. anyways ur point is noted! thanks! :)

if i was to start feeding again after harvesting the main colas i would just be using the bloom not the veg tho.

GB,
I've seen many discussions on this issue. Outdoors, it makes lots of sense. But if you're tying up your flower room for the popcorn, it might be better just to do a full harvest and start a new plant. That seems to be the general consensus...

ok i see ur point. I'm actually doing both in a sense. I'm in 2gal smart pots in coco with flora nova nutes outdoors. i would like to tie up and train the plant but i can't really tend to them that much as i would risk getting busted :(
