This is a pretty crazy statement to make. In my opinion too many people grow from clone and not enough from seed. If you take a little effort and pop some seeds to look for something special your efforts will pay off. There are plenty of hidden gems out there and just need to be found. plus when you get clones, you also inherit any fuck ups the original grower may have done. not to mention the chance of infection from mildew, bugs, whatever. more people need to grow from seed

Agreeing with almost everything else you said in that post, I have to disagree a bit here.

I can't speak to what Bodhi is doing, but F1s themselves will be uniform ("stable") *IF* they are "true" F1s made by crossing two different landrace or other inbred lines. F2s created from inbred lines are where you get the massive variation with most of the various parental trait permutations.

I have to strongly disagree here.

If you're saying MOST commercial lines aren't excellent, I'd agree with that. By definition, only a small percentage of stuff can truly be well above average, right? Genetics work on a bell curve. . .if you want to find an absolutely outstanding one in a million type plant, guess what. . .you have to pop a million beans!

But to say nothing available in se-ed form is very good. . .its just not true. You can find absolutely excellent genetics from a dozen or more breeders now. It just may require a bit of selection and trial and error on your part, that's all.
