I read something interesting in the new high times....I never thought of it before that. When using organic soil grows and flushing....do your final flush within 24 hours of chopping them down. If you wait till it dries the soil will start refeeding the plant.

well bro, the best part is about to happen, HARVEST!! and if you read through the entire journal (yea,, its a hella bunch) you can pretend you were there all along..

after this grow things are really going to get good tho.. im setting up a 4k watt flower room to go with the 2500 w veg room you see in my pics/vid... starting a fresh grow with new seeds.. filling the veg room with reg strains and the flower room with a bumper crop of autos.. just keep a look out for it.. ill post a link in this journal when i start the journal for the new grow..



i am hoping the extra dark increases growth.. i think it will.. at least in theory it makes sense it does... i want the plants to pull everything they can from the leaves that are left, swell one last time because "winter is hear", and get super frosty with trichs.. i've never tried this before... but, based on my other grows and where i end up, i should have a good grasp on whether or not it made a difference or not, tho... ill make sure to report the findings..

now, the high times article... well.. i think i want to read it.. only because there is one minor thing i dont think makes sense... the idea of flushing is to remove the nute salts from the plant... but also from the soil... most growers, by the time they harvest, have stripped anything from the soil nute wise thats possible.. well their plants have, not them themselves... this means, at least i think, the soil is pretty much worthless... unless you added a bunch of amendments and shit in the beginning.. now.. based on the idea that the soil is now just a buffer medium, with no nutes left, and you flush to remove the salts from the plants and anything left in the soil, i dont see how it could feed the plant anymore?? i guess in my mind i see soil starting at 100% and ending at 0%... but im sure there is a much larger gray area in the middle where there is more nutes left in the actual soil than i think.. oh well.. its just another reason i am glad i dont have soil anymore..






so its now hour 14 of straight dark... normally this is when i would go turn on the lights... but instead i set.. and wait.. and could the hours and minutes and seconds... i hate this time... its funny, to me, that even after so many grows i still get this excited over harvest.. i wonder if it will ever get old?? i think about when i have my "super grow" going... when the veg room is full of 12 big girls, the flower room has 12 big girls and is stuffed the rest of the way with autos, and i have the coliseum up and going how often i will have a harvest.. or be trimming.. i start to think then, at that point, it will get old.. every 3 or 4 weeks ill be trimming who knows how much... im pretty sure at that point ill be purchasing a trimmer.. or at least have a good group of RIU buddies helping out...

i am definitely making some sort of hash.. i have all the trimmings drying now... just trying to decide which way i want to go with the hash.. i have a keif box i borrowed that i could make dry kief hash with.. or i can borrow some bubble bags and make bubble hash with.. it'll be good either way.. i think i am going to try the box tho.. just to see the difference in yield from the to bubble bags.. and quality difference in the end

thanks bro.. i worked hard and busted ass.. its really nice to see the sweat and tears paying off... i started making hash today... it looks like im going to get a SICK amount from what i have.... shits almost a yellow white.. ill post a pic of what i end up with later... if you get in a pinch you should swing up here... im sure we can figure something out..

im impressed by the amount of reading you have done.. this is a LONG ass journal... it amazes me sometimes.. there are parts full of useless shit.. but there are some parts with gems.. at least mistakes i made that i fixed... which is always good to see for future reference..

so im sure that the buds will be in circulation... i know some are headed to chicago... but mostly in the surrounding northen IN area... if you are around here im sure some will leak into your hands!! i always think its funny when people bring over the stuff i grew and are like "check this shit out bro.. its some fire!!"... it makes me laugh on the inside.. gotta keep a poker face tho.. cant be tipping off anyone..



i tasted all the strains i had yesterday... some of the smaller buds were dried enough to smoke.. even without curing they are amazing.. the taste, the smootheness, and most importantly the high were all what i wanted... ended up passing out from being sooo ripped.. it was nice... cant wait to get them cured up and really done right...
