I found they actually had way lower prices on Sov glass than the 1 local store that I could find in my area that carried it.

This is true! Some headshops are ridiculous. But they have to pay rent, and employees to show you the glass. Sometimes they want a few hundred more than it's worth.

In this case ALT is good.... but if you know some blowers, or a source in which to buy from blowers directly..

dishes, tubes, curves etc they can all get rediculous... in the 200's+ when you can find similar if not better items from the glassblowers for cheaper.

i will probably never buy a REALLY heady dish, or curve, or tube from ALT. I would seek out glass blowers before I spend a lot on such a piece. But that being said their clear brand name tubes have some pretty decent deals vs. headshops... and I totally bought a SG tube for 330 last night... im pretty sure it was worth it.. I couldn't find another one online.... and therefore couldn't find cheaper.

We only have 1 head shop within like 2 hours from where I live and the guy that owns it knows the only other option is the internet so he jacks ALL of the prices up a ton. My of was only $250 from him tho such I had never seen anything like it and didn't care how much it was cuz its exactly what I wanted

I personally have no problem win the internet. I like to help out the locals all I can, except for this a-hole. He wont even negotiate a price on a defected piece.

 yeah fuck'um....

my 'local' shops are the same way! They don't give you any pride in shopping local.

We only have one high end shop that carries a big selection... and they are straight fuck you about the prices... the local blown headdie bubblers are like 1000-2000 and definitly not 1,000 dollar pieces. MAYBE 600.

I went there looking for an [Austrian] Hurricane bong... there are 4 sizes...250,600,750, and 1000........ they wanted $600 for the 600... and I bought the 1000, the biggest size, online, for about 470 after bank conversion fees and shipping......

Any of yall ever have any experience with ZOB glass? was looking this thing http://aqualabtechnologies.com/scientific-glass/zob-glass/zob-inline-perc-tube-rasta-right.html but i have not had any experience with their inline's or any of their glass for that matter and for 230 its not to expensive.
thats the design of my next bong. the only suggestion i have is to find one where on the inline the holes are blown thru the glass instead of cut into it. IMO the cuts make the glass weak and will break easier and thats the biggest complaint i hear about the inline is that it breaks easy.
