Hello RIU! I recently moved into a place where I can run more than just one 4x4 tent, upgraded some of my grow equipment and thought I'd start a journal to share my cannabis related adventures, smoke reports and also a place to work on my photography skills. I plan to pheno hunt, test clones from online vendors, pollen chuck and F2 some Bodhi gear. I'm always looking to learn more and improve my grows, all input is welcome so come hang out! Journals are always more fun with interaction.

Current setups:

2.5 x 2.5 foot grow tent
2x Area 51 RW-75 LEDs (plans to upgrade)

I'm currently using this tent for popping seeds, rooting cuts and isolating clones when needed.

Veg/mother tent
3 x 3 foot Vivosun grow tent
1 SF-2000 LED
4" AC Infinity Inline Fan
4" AC Infinity Carbon Filter

When plants are ready for 1gal containers I transplant and move them to this tent until they're ready for flower. Also will be using to veg bonsai mother plants when I find strains I'd like to keep around.

The plan is to have this tent always set to 12/12, smaller harvests but more variety and plants coming down on a more regular basis. Plans may change if I find something I want to do a bigger run of.

I like to keep things simple, I'm not trying to win any contests; just growing for fun, personal use and so I don't have to go to dispensaries.

Soil mix: FFoF, perlite, mykos, worm castings, Happy Frog

Nutes: Blue Planet Farmers Pride, I've always had good results using this line but want to transition to organics and will be testing out some Dr. Earth amendments.

Was just waiting on the lights to come on, nothing too exciting at the moment mostly seedlings. I culled 1 Mendo Cookie x Cake fighter runt and the 2 Double Grape x Sour Stomper autos, horrible germination rates and the two that popped were mutated. I bought them from a seed bank I've never used before, questioning if they were even legit or how they were stored. Not sweating it though, I'm not a big fan of Autoflowers and was just going to use them to get used to the new HLG 600R then toss them outside. All plants got watered tonight, RO + 5ml cal mag and some mykos.

2x2 Seedling Tent, a few seedlings stretched a little due having my lights too far away but no worries, I have a fan lightly blowing on them to strengthen them up and can plant them deeper when I repot.



3x3 Veg Tent, just messing around with the bonsai mother technique from growweedeasy until clones arrive on Friday. HBK V3 clone currently on step 3 topped and training into the cup shape. https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-to-keep-a-bonsai-mother-for-unlimited-clones



5x5 Flower Tent, currently not set to flower. I potted up two clones the other day going to veg them a little longer, plus I neglected the TT NL #6 x Appalachia clone a little bit, it needs to bounce back before I flip to flower. I'm thinking 2-3 more weeks, might have some GMO to toss in there as well by then if it vegs as fast as people claim. Two empty pots in the back were from the Double Grape x Sour Stomper, front right has a Trizzler Auto I'm waiting to sprout and will put outside when I set this tent to 12/12. Light is dimmed, pulling 88 watts at the wall, around 150 PAR according to this phone app, will slowly increase the power until I'm around 500 PAR. I could just turn this tent off and put these clones back in the 3x3 for now but want to get used to this new light and make sure I have the environment dialed in since I'm moving from 600W HID 4x4 to LED in the 5x5.

Appearance
Light and dark green Indica shaped nugs, light orange hairs, white appearance from heavy trichome production, dark purple calyxes found in center.




Bud density: 8/10, dense but not grinder necessary dense, just how I like it.

Aroma: Berries, pine, hash/earthy
Intensity: 6/10 good but not stink out the house good

Flavor: Sour kush, berries and hash
Intensity: 7/10, pleasant. Sweet berry on the inhale, sour kush and Hash flavors on the exhale

Smoke ability: 10/10, extremely smooth
Smoke expansion: 2/10, very little, easy on the lungs.

Dosage: 2 snappers, roughly .3g
Effect onset: Immediately
Effects: Nice hybrid mix, starts out hard like a heavy hitting Indica. Immediately feel eye lids get heavy and body relax, fades into a nice relaxed, happy, clear headed/functional high.

Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours, first 30-45 mins are heavy indica effects.

Usability: Evenings when you're winding down but don't want to be completely sedated. Afternoons thru night on weekends, not very morning friendly.

Overall satisfaction: 7/10, overall I really like this strain. I plan to keep it around and make crosses with it, was very hardy and easy to grow.

Doing some yard work cleaning up brush piles and came upon this guy, I picked up a whole tree worth of brush it was under and it never made a sound, it could have nailed me in the face if it wanted to. I just took some photos and left him alone.






Clone order arrived from Dookiefarms, 3 GMO SMF cuts and 1 Helen Back, desert heat roughed them up a little but they'll be fine.



Put them in nursery pots with FFoF and some mykos, my plan is to flower one GMO while its small to get an idea of how it grows in flower, veg one out larger before flowering and keep the last one as a mother.
