This sprout looks pretty good.. but if you can tell, one of the leafs almost seem to be showing signs of underwatering. Just curious on what you guys think. I'm probably overreacting.
Thanks

its fine.. if the top layer of soil seems to be too dry. just mist the top of the soil with a spray bottle. That helps keep moisture without drowning the seedling.

Man i did that with my last grow.. I since have changed things such as soil and now using distilled water. My tap ph tested at 7.8 (I was using it before as well as hot soil)
Anyways I had 3 sprouts die out of no where and when I posted pics everybody said I overwatered. So I'm avoiding misting like I did my first grow to hopefully prevent the same outcome. I do believe they died of N toxicity though. Here's a pic of em before I let em die. Sorry about the quality. And yes I had just watered them before this pic

I only do that with seedlings until they grow their first full set of leaves not counting the petiole leaves .. I also plant directly in soil. clones too. no plugs. I've sprouted hundreds of seeds over the years and maybe lost 5 total. Don't give them any nutes until they have at least 4 full nodes..
Companion crops / living mulch helps with keeping moisture in.. like using red clover or bahia grass. plus they facilitate establishment of bacteria and fungi much faster providing food for microbes and working as a nutrient accumulator and a nitrogen fixator by pulling nitrogen form the air and feeding to the main plants.
this was a few days ago. the dire wolf have sprouted since. the other 2 (qk, pb)finally dropped their seed helmets.
its to hard to tell. nitrogen burn show by bright red tips the move up along the edges. i barely mist every other day. i have mine in cups. so the soil dries out pretty fast.. ironically the seed i lost i started in big pots. so I only start them in party cups.
