Sprout died, found white fuss on root system?

one sprout didn't make it, the other sprouts are growing tall and second set of ridged leafs are coming in looking healthy. but the one sprout that died i found white fuss on the root system, what does this mean? and how i do keep this from happening to my other plants?
thank you for reading please let me know if you have a solution or an answer.

The fuzz is a fungus that helps with the uptake of nutrients and water correct me of I'm mistaken

I just posted a thread after yours..im getting a white mass around the bottom of my cuttings which I thought (still dont know for sure) could be a mold..but I saw an article on a web site that had pics and a wicked author that said its the plants placental tissue from which roots are born..I was asking folks on ere if they had seen it on theirs before ...so I dunno but maybe something to consider..

Haha sorry to say guys but the little fuzz on the roots are called root hairs, they are essential to plant growth.
they are what absorbs water molecules and nutrients.
your all good man! your plant most likely died from some other cause.
