Hey brother... I did the same thing as yourself. Funny its exact dates as your issue just one year later... wtf. After investigating my patch last thursday I noticed I had a spider mite problem on 2 of the 12 plants in this patch. So, looked up an organic soap spray for spider mites as many would and do .. I read a few articles of the same type regarding DAWN dish detergent.. I felt confident this would be soft on the plants and kill those little bastards dead! Naaa not so much.. So... I soaked my plants in this concoction... Should have just sprayed the effected 2 only. Not the entire patch ffs. I was thinking it would have prevented the mites from moving on..
The next day All 12 plants looks exactly like yours in your pics. I feel terrible but obviously not as shitty as my burnt plants .. Im choked and hope they bounce back as nice as yours did. . I’ll never do that again.
REsearching more on this topic, Dawn dish soap is detergent not soap. Dawn detergent has other chemicals in it as well as being a grease stripper/wax remover... and is made with animal fats not vegetable fats. Dr Bronners Liquid Castle soap is suppose to be the shit for this and to use instead of DAWN. Dawn strips the natural waxy layers on the leaves burning them leaving brown spots all over foliage and curled tip leaves drying and dying off. Im choked. I hope my babies bounce back in 10-15 days like yours ... they were growing so nice.. pretty please!
Any advice on this topic is well appreciated.
