Spots on my bush, (lol) plz help lots of info provided. (soon to be pics)

Howdy everyone, thank you for your help, I want to nip this problem in the "bud" before it gets out of hand.

How long has this problem been going on?

What STRAIN are you growing?

Ruby Red Kush / Bag seeds that I named Matto (lol) (RRK 3x3x2.5 (LxWxH) and 2 smaller 2x2x2 Matto seeds)

What was the establishing technique?

Seed

What is the age of your plants? (**NOTE** I don’t count 4 weeks or so it took for them to go from seed to rapid foliage growth.)

RRK plant is 10 weeks old on Friday (14 weeks old including seedling stage)
Matto plants were 5 weeks old yesterday the 13th (9 weeks old including seedling stage)

How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?

I have the same soil; I mix rough amounts of extra newts (same ctr always) because I use organic newts which I will list later.

How tall are the plants?

(RRK 3x3x2.5 (LxWxH) and 2 smaller 2x2x2 Matto seeds one is a bit bigger probably 2.7x2.7x2

What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?

Vegetative

What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)

None of those… I dunno my own..

What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)

Each have there own pots, the RRK is in a 5 or 7gal (big) and the two Mattos are in 2gal pots.

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*

I just mix a little in the batch of soil when transplanting into a bigger pot and I just do that by eye, and it’s never a lot a line in the middle of the dirt about 7-9inches long the width of your point/middle fingers.

How often are you feeding?

I don’t “feed” but the 1 time when I first mix my soil up.

If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?

Not flowering

What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)

Again not doing that, mix a batch of soil up, I mix it for 30 or more min so it is thoroughly mixed.

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?

***I have a 120-140 tap water PPM, and it is a 7 something ph, I ALWAYS correct, and have been correcting the PH to my water to 5.8-6 ALWAYS. I know about PH.***

What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?

6.2-7ph (the books I have read say 6-7ph in soil is fine.)

What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?

Ph pen, EXTECH, ExStick, PH100

How often are you watering?

I was watering each 2gal pots (Mattos) 1gal every day, and the 5-7gal (RRK) 2gal a day but I just stopped that a few days ago after reading on here that once a day is too much. I waited a day to water the 2gal pots 1gal so that would be 1gal every other day and the 5-7gal pot 4-4.5gal every other day. I am going to have to judge that the humidity is very low here sometimes, has been ok though says its 63% atm on google. (yes I have a humidity/temp gauge but it stays “–“ because it thinks it’s so low in there.) I’m talking about world humidity mannn lol.

What size bulb are you using?

1000 watt MH

What is the distance to the canopy?

12”

What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)

Says --, I know it’s not broken I used it in my clone room and it is fine. World RH changes a lot. (North Cal)

What is the canopy temperature?

74-80 always (oil heater in the room keeps it solid)

What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)

My light runs on a closed air path, meaning cold air is pulled in and pushed through the light and taken out of the room, it stays a very even temp all the time with the oil heater in the room. So a solid 74 bottom at any time lights on or off and a high of 80 lights on or off. It all depends on the air in the outer area.

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)

Vortex Power fan 6” 449 CFM on a 1000watt MH bulb

Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when it’s running and not running?

The one 6” running atm 24/7 I need to hook up a timer.

Is the fan blowing directly at plants?

Yes, a squirrel cage 10 or 12” fan.

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?

I would say in the middle to a little dry when I water. Before when I was watering every day, they seemed to be happy with that. But now that I changed to every other day, its on the dry side IMO when I water.

Is your water HARD or SOFT?

Neither or, in the middle range more to the soft side.

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?

During the seedling stage I water with distilled water. After that they get tap water with the PH adjusted and no newts added. I have added blackstrap unsulfured molasses a few times (4 or 5 times) but have not done that recently.

Are you using water from a water softener?

No…

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?

The RRK has been cloned within the last week, I took 5 clones. (which are still alive and looking good) The two Mattos have not been cloned pruned or w/e.

Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?

No before I took my big guys out to my grow room (out of my clone closet) I swept, and lit off a PCO bomb to make sure to kill anything out there BEFORE I took my plants out there.

Are plant's infected with pest's?

No they look very, very healthy; they are getting yellowing between the main veins which then turn to brown spots, some of the bigger leaves this is happening to the steam has purple. This is all over the RRK, young old it don’t matter it looks as if it has spread all over. I am leaning towards an Mg deficiency, thinking about getting some Epson salt to mix and try for a week or so to see if it goes away. What do you all think, hope I have given all the need to know info. I will try and get some pics here up shortly.

Those spots in the 2nd and 3rd pics are light bleaching. Move that light up some!

I can't see the brown spotting in the pictures

I agree with light bleaching. If there is water on the leaves, they act like magnifying glasses and bleach the chlorophyll from that region of the plant. Hot spots, from ineffecient reflectors can also cause this. Tin foil, wrinkled mylar, or any material that would reflect light at an increased rate will cause this. I dont know any deficiency that causes white spots like that. Its bugs or bleaching.

Ok, I raised the light 23" from the big RRK and around 30" away from the smaller Mattos. I have visqueen plastic all over the room, and a sheet on the floor. I agree the with the light burn on the Mattos, I can't seem to get a good pic of the RRK's problems with the light on, there is to much light and it fuzzez out. I will try and get some better pics when the light is off. Thank you for the help y'all.

I have been busy, I have transplanted the 2 Mattos into 5gal contaners. and added a new layer of potting soil/Dr. E. mix on top of the RRK. It seems to have helped they are all looking great, I am now flowering them (400wHPS) just started 1/21/10. So I am going to attempt to get pics now with the 400w HPS running. I am also now going to try to water 1gal of molasses water every other watering.
