Anyone know what these spots are. They start about 5 nodes from the top and lower. I’m using RO water but supplementing with calimagic 1tsp per gallon of reacher watering.

I’m in week 7 of veg and My runoff ppm is about 1400. Run off PH 6.3

Let me know if you need more info

That coco? If so your run off is too high.... ph your nutes to 5.8 and flush it through. 1400 is quite high so you wanna make sure you are getting enough run off

Why are you adding calmag? I think that's more for coco coz coco eats calmag itself.

If the plants start to yellow just feed a well balanced nutrient solution. Ph seems low for soil toom
I’m using RO water, I was under the impression it’s required when using reverse osmosis since it stops all the minerals front the water

Gotcha.... if you can I wiukd stop using ro water. Its fairly pointless for a soil grow unless there is real shit in your water

Your ph is probably the issue..

As you can see in soil calcium needs a higher ph. Try 6.6 ish

You absolutely need calmag with RO water. Theres no calcium in RO water. Tap water has all the stuff RO and distilled water doesn’t. I would suggest getting your ph to 6.5-7. You may be experiencing a lack of nutrient uptake.

So I’ve been adjusting input water to 6.5. Run off is a bit lower. Should I water with 7 the. To try and bring it up?

To be honest, I’ve never bothered with testing my runoff, and I use both growing styles, bottle feeding and dry amendments. I use to be all caught up on that stuff, but soon realized I was over complicating a simple process. Ph what goes in, trying to control what comes out will have you chasing your tail. Stick between 6.5-7 and you should be ok. What type of Ph pen/meter do you have?

Does the ph pen give you a temp reading, or does the TDS meter give temp readings? I only ask because the temp of the nutrients make a big difference when ph’ing. Too cold or too hot can drastically throw the readings off.

Yeah the ppm meter does. Water is usually 65-70.

One thing to note: The light on temp highest is 78 and light off lowest is 66
