A buddy gave me one of these so I don't really know much about them. I though he was talking about a flipper box. Not really trying to here people's opinions just real experience with them. I would guess that two 600s just kick out 500 each. Anyone put a light meter to one? Also it said on a sticker on to you have to use their bulbs - do you? I don't want to buy some stupid bulbs there are light on craigslist are dirty cheap around here bulbs you have to buy new. Good idea but but how's it work in the real world. Thanks

Solis tek lies about their line. You can tell by looking at the box that the bulbs come in. How does each hps bulb have the same spectrum and yet the cri changes, same for the mh. Color shift doesn't change if wattage is increased or decreased. Their selling point is how much UV the bulbs put out. Most people have the bulbs behind glass in a cool tube or hood. Glass blocks out UV and 10% spectral output. They do not have a quartz crystal coating so they are not safe for open reflectors. I wouldn't trust any of their products.
