My a/c been working hard. No issues thus far. Temps have been steady. Never over 84. Usually around 74 lights off. About a month until harvest. Hoping to get a lb. but we will see

Temp in my tent is around 82F with lights on. The heat dome is gone for now. More importantly the humidity has been low so I don't have to run the dehumidifier. Those things create a lot of heat and burn power.

Sweet. I found a 6k locally. LG. $200

Now if i do this though should i exhaust in the room or out the window?

Could pick it up tomorrow and try it

Im curious tho. My portable is 8k. Why is a window unit gonna do any better ?
Because portables are quite inefficient designs, for several reasons. They are now rated differently, look for the SACC or DOE rating (I think DOE is equivalent). Eg: Many portables that are advertised as 12000btu, are only rated 7, 8, or 9000btu SACC.
Portables, almost all of'em, dual hose or single, use room air (the air you paid to condition) to cool the hot side and then exhaust that air outside.
