Split air conditioner help

I have bought a split ductless 24000 btu air conditioner. my question is how to make it run at different temperatures for the 12/12. I realize that the air conditioner itself doesn't have a mode. Im going to be using co2, as is the reason i bought the air conditioner in the first place. I heard someone mention something about getting a controller for it, it's a generic brand (ramsond). Please any help would be much appreciated.

I'm a bit confused by your question. You want it to have different setpoints for day and night, or what?

any specs on the unit itself? most have an internal thermometer on the "blower" side of it. and usually u can program them with the remote.. but not all have multiple programmable settings

Ok sorry for the confusion. Yes, i'd like to have different set points for day and night. for the 12 hours of darkness i'd like to have it set around 60 degrees, and when the lights are on for 12 hours i'd like it to run somewhere around 83 degrees, for maximum uptake for co2. Do they make some kind of universal remote control or something so that i don't have to do that manually everyday, or some kind of controller unit that i can program to the air conditioner. otherwise i would imagine i should leave it on at like 72 degrees all day? sorry for any confusion.

Crack open the instruction manuel and see if theres a Day/Night time setting... i know this sounds kinda obvious but sometimes you need to actually sit down and read the info...it does look like it should have a setting for it..im gonna look around on the site alittle more

If it's not in the manual I could tell you how to set up a couple of relays/thermostats to do the same thing but it's going to be expensive. Hopefully it'll be in TFM.

yea the website is pretty vague on the specifics to the timer and modes... but u did get urself a nice piece of equipment none the less

speak to me in terms of expensive relays and what not.. I was thinking of making some kind of ghetto timer mechanical finger thing to push the buttons up and down at the right time for me, as i can't physically be at the grow everyday.

That ac unit is SICK!How effecient does it work , is it worth it?
yeah it actually works well, it cools and heats my room quickly to whatever i set it to. My friend who told me about them said he has bought 18 of them with no problems. My only problem with it was initially i had someone who claimed to know what their doing set it up, and he didn't turn on the valves, so he blew my compressor right off the bat. Needless to say i had to call an hvac guy and then battle it out with ramsond to get a replacement outdoor unit, which i had to pay the shipping on or i would have never got it. Since they were being unresponsive i called my bank and told them the problem, they refunded my money immediately, i than called ramsond and told them they can either replace my unit or take it up with my bank. Needless to say i got a new outdoor unit, and it has been working awesome. It comes pre-charged too. Just don't expect great customer service or anything. But, they unit works well so far.

and in retrospect, beyond the fact i don't know dick about setting up 240v electric, its pretty easily to install, though the instructions they give you to hook it up are retarded.

simple... units come pre charged .. there are 2 expansion valves that need to be opened b4 the compresser is turned on...guess that wasnt done

well he didnt open the valves, before he turned it on. So the compressor was trying to compress 2 inches worth of gas and blew. Completely our fault, not the units. Its good if you don't want some hvac guy coming to your house and yada ya. Which because my friend was such a retard i had to do anyhow. If your unsure i would have them come and install it anyhow. It works really well, i have dehumidifiers which im thinking i may not even need to install, cuz it just pumps water out of that room so fast. and like i said my only problem is I want it to run at 60 degrees for 12 hours and then 83 degrees for 12 hours, consistently everyday.

yeah, and it has a dehumidifaction mode and what not. just trying to figure out how to make this thing do what i need it to do. Otherwise should i just leave it on like 70 something degrees all the time?? I thought initially that timer shit would let me time a day and night setting, but apparently it just turns it on or off within a given 24 hour time period.
