Spinosad or Bt?

I’m ordering both today. I like the idea of alternating because I’d hate for anything to develop a resistance.

A paint sprayer huh? Like an airless, or just a siphon/gravity feed gun that hooks up to a compressor? I do strictly commercial remodeling and 90% of the painting we do is with brushes and rollers, so I couldn’t justify buying an airless, but I have wanted a good siphon feed gun for a while and already have a HVLP.

Big grows use something like Graco Magnum airless, but I've seen some smaller grows using small handheld sprayers. The Hudson foggers spray at a pretty high velocity and can be pretty rough on your plants at close range. Paint sprayers are a lot more gentle from what I've seen and you have a trigger to control when you are spraying vs only an on/off switch on the foggers.

Seems like the HVLP will work fine for my needs. With the 100’ hose it will reach anywhere without me having to move my compressor. I do see the advantage. A finer mist means more uniform coverage on the whole plant that would be next to impossible with a pump sprayer.

Thats another issue with the hudson foggers. The power cord is like 6 inches long and the 2 gallon reservoir is attached and fairly akward to carry around. The attachment point for the reservoir is very badly designed for the cost of the damn thing.

Not sure what fogger you have mine has low medium and high. Too each his own it works perfect for my conditions.

Well it came in. I hope this stuff is good. I’m about to mix up about a half gallon and set up the HVLP gun. I haven’t noticed any caterpillars on my weed yet, but these ants are ravaging my hollyhock and I want them gone. I’ve read that spinosad is especially devastating to all things Hymenoptera so I’ll be interested to see what happens.
