Spidermites in my hydro growing system

Hi everyone,

Just couple of questions about CO2 poisoning with a CO2 tank and regulator:

Should I leave exhuast vent (fan and light off, of course) so that the CO2 can raise and push out oxygen through exhuast vent when CO2 tank is running and building up at bottom of sealed grow cab?

With this first grow, I taped both intake and exhuast vents. But I think to tape the exhuast vent above plants is a mistake because there is no place for oxygen to escape while CO2 is being injected inside the cab and then sink to floor. I should have taped just intake vent by floor only.

I believe I should have all circulation fans inside off also so that CO2 don't get mixed with O2.

Thanks!

I thought this thread was about spider mites... your not poisoning, your nourishing with co2, lol... the lights should be on... and any oscilating fans should be turned off... experienced growers feed several times a day, and coordinate the fans to go off at the co2 feeding intervals with a timer...

I am one week into flower. I am doing the spider mite CO2 poisoning right now. This time I am leaving exhuast vent open while I taped everything else sealed shut including the intake vent and door with some duct tape. Using a online calculator to figure out correct regulator flow setting to bring the cab up to 10,000 ppm inside, I will have CO2 run for 15 minutes every hour for 4 hours tonight while I sleep and take the tapes off just right before light comes on in the morning. I will be doing this every Wednesday and I hope I won't see spider mites again!

IMO this won't be effective in removing them completely. In addition I'd spray water on all leaves tops and bottoms since water will blast some colonies away and you poison the rest.

IMO I you can get your hands on them I'd get predatory mites for flowering. If you were in veg I'd suggest ladybugs.
