SPIDER MITES!

want to know how i get rid of the little bastards? a fuckin shop vac. they cant hold on to the leaves very well so i figured why not try the fuckin vaccume. it gets rid of web eggs and the bugs themselfs. i would do that then use azamax incase i missed afew. works everytime andcan be done in flower

I think the OP has thrips. Spinosad works great for thrips. 2 applications usually GONE!

As far as mites go though:
Anything thats legit to spray in flower is usually just going to be a band-aid/slow them down. I used to use neem oil as far back as 24 yrs ago. We now have an improved/refined version: azamax/azatrol ;-)

Avid doesn't do shit anylonger to mites(from clubs) here in Ca anylonger, due to the over-use of it in the past. It does wonders still for thrips though(only spray while in veg of course) :-)

Do you have webbing? Are their little white spots on the top of leaves? DO NOT FLIP u must eliminate the mites COMPLETELY before flowering or your crop is doomed. Get urself 2 miticides, (floramite, avid, tetrasan, forbid) and use them 4 days apart. Then flower if they are done.

shoulda read the replies......thrips are no biggy compared to mites.

Well the more you know. I should have been more specific to myself I suppose. The mites I have dealt with where red and very tiny. The only time I could see them when there where already thousands of them moving around and I saw webs (this was a couple of years ago), disgusting little fuckers. Didn't mean to give the OP bad info.

ya red mites are actually quite rare, unheard of where i live. Cannabis normally gets the two spotters, and once they are adults they are about 2-3 times the size of red mites and MUCH more destructive. As the previous repondant said, if you have them in flower you are really fucked and the best option is a hand vac to remove the webbing from your buds. But this guy only has thrips, and truthfully ive had thrips for like weeks 4-8 of flower and the crop was still perfect, thrips r nothing compared t mites, lucky for our friend the OP.

Shit so I had some rare awesome mites, lol. Usually I set off a Dr. Doom Pyrethine bug bomb right before flower just as preventative maintenance. So I haven't had to deal with them in some time.

prevention is key, i use AVID cuz i just have a little 2x2 tent

Red mites are actually predatory mites. Do not make webs. They were probably eating the yellow mites. Red mites are very common. They always show up in my compost bin. You can buy them too. Their good beneficial mites. They eat all other pests, larva, eggs and organic material. Then die off once their food source is gone.

Ok alot of whoa forbidding going on. Its actually thrips but ive ordered some neem repel. The might wash didnt get rid of them all so I had another go with the sb plant invigorator pesticide. Took another 3 hours. My lower back cant take much more of this.

petroleum oil (purespray green ) works very well too, the secret is you have to hit the little bastards.
But since op is saying it's thrips now grab some Riptide (5 percent pyrethrin) from domyownpestcontrol.com(best pricing) and an airless paint sprayer and go to town. If you hit them they will die.

What does OP mean? Never heard it before. Is it original poster? PS there definitely was a 90% reductions about 40% of the plants had no thrips at all. But I cant just chill when ive seen even a couple.

running co2?.crank it up to 5-10k ppm..be careful,5k ppm is the OSHA maximum "safe" level for humans.so BE CAREFUL,you pass out you die..good thing is you dont have to fill the whole room top to bottom,just the bottom half,and co2 is heavier than air,it sinks..so it will surround your plants in a suffocating blanket of doom...gas the fuckers for a day,wait 3 days,gas the new hatches..use any number of the oils/soaps/teas mentioned above,before,during,and after the gassings..to go the extra mile,do it a 3rd time..after you get rid of em,use neem oil regularly..its organic,and after 3 days is not found on the plants any more,you can use it daily with no ill effects..

its been banned from cali for being petroleum based. They lied and paid big money for their organic certs.

Rosemary tea's and rosemary oil will kill off thrips. Enzymes should as well. You can run coconut water through your resi. Its full of more enzymes than anything in a hydro shop. Get it straight from a coconut. Its 1/4 cup of fresh coconut water to 5 gal of water. You can pick up rosemary oil at gnc or sprouts. Or make your own.

Still have thrips. Used mighty wash and an organic pesticide. In total 6 hrs of spraying. Does anyone know if thrips develop resistant to neem oil?

Neem is an inhibitor not a poison. It takes time. It suffocates them and also attacks their digestive system. It doesn't kill eggs. Neem is more of a preventative . Imo castile soaps have better results than neem.

Soap kills them on contact and neem doesn't. You have to dilute neem so much so it doesn't suffocate your plant. Castile soaps are olive oil based. Like Dr. Bronners hemp soaps.
