a preventative measure would be making some homemade pepper spray from three jalapenos and 2 cups of water in a blender. Let the jalapeno water sit for 24 hours then strain out the water into a container and mix that with 1 quart of water... at this point you can spray on the leaves once or twice a week.

Doesn't kill spider mites but acts as an irritant/repellant and is organic so it doesn't hurt your smoke :)

of course you could always use neem oil. i've gotten them before, and they are quite a nuisance. Neem oil did however do the trick, just make sure you're still in veg phase before you spray em down!

For spider mites and aphids, I use a dish soap and vinegar mixture. Take a spray bottle, cover the bottom with dish soap (I use the orange anti-bacterial kind), fill 3/4 with water and top the rest off with vinegar. Shake it up an spray all over your plants. Make sure you get under the leaves cause that is where spider mites hide and make their tiny webs. Get the plants all sudsy and leave on for a day. The next day spray off with your hose and all will be gone. This is a natural and cheap way to prevent and destroy these tiny killers. :peace:
