Spider Mites or Household Spiders? Suggestions please!

In my clone room I noticed about a dozen fine spider webs strung from plant top to plant top. The web strands stretched about 6 inches from plant to plant. I looked for fine speckling of the leaves but there is none, just health dark green leaves and lighter green new growth. no speckling whatsoever.

from what I understand, speckling of the leaves would appear before webs would appear so I am wondering if it is possible that just regular old spiders would have created these webs sometime during the lights off?

anyone gone through this before?

I dint even know spider mites made webs, so it might just be regular spiders!? You should get a bug bomb or a fog can and do the room your plants are in to kill them, you never know they might be poisionous.I could see it now,man found dead in marijuana grow room, cause of death: overdose on marijuana!

spider mites do produce webs but they are very small and usually on the underside of large fan leaves, they like the shade!sounds like you got yourself a little buddy in there .i would just get some sticky traps and get them. insecticides are just fucking bad period!

If they are on your clones they are prolly on the plants you cloned them from...last january i had same problem...i had to dump my entire grow and bomb with Dr Doom. I now use azamax in their feeding...haven't had a problem since.

I checked my flower room, where the clones came from and all those plants are clean as a whistle, granted there is a ton of air movement in the flower room, which might explain the absence of webs.

i spent the last half hour looking closely at all the leaves and haven't found any mite. I gotta assume they're house spiders.

If its visible to the naked eye is probably a spider which is beneficial instead of a spider mite. If it was spider mites, by the time its so bad you could see the webs, the crop would be destroyed basically.
the web is kind of a mess but a spider might eat aphids or spider mites maybe. I like to have a praying mantis or two in the greenhouse when I find them, also some wasps lay eggs in hornworms or caterpillars that eat plants, the larva hatch and eat the caterpillar from the inside .
the organic IPM way to go is manually squish the spider and clean up the web or later when you manicure. it might lay eggs but won't do much even if you leave it alone .I just leave small ones sometimes, they stay on the plants and don't even make webs

I use Sevin Dust if Pest problems arise. Most people will say nooo, but after 25 yrs of this I have yet to find any negative effects.By week 4 of flower nothing can survive on my girls so the Sevin is long gone before chop.
