K so my northern lights, Jack Herer and my dj short blueberry mothers all got infested with spider mites...the blueberrys were too far gone n was web from top to bottom so I pulled her...the other 2 have been moved to a segregated area and have been sprayed with doctor doom every night for the last week. I'm still seeing signs of them on there tho and I've also got a couple other plants that have started to show signs...I cleaned out my grow room and changed mylar n whatnot. Should I change the soil and pots on all of them?? I just don't wanna have to start over from scratch and ii also don't ant my flowering girls to get affected...any and alll help is appreciated..thanks. DDM

lol i hear this hot shot bull shit all the time....

you need a serious pruduct like

Flormite sc to get control and interrupt the life cycle.

and if you think the hot shot things look cool waste your money on them

hot shot pest strips worked good for me for like the first two weeks then it seemed like the lil fuckers got immune to them or sumthin. The only way i got rid of my mits was spraying them with neem oil every three days right before lights out for like three weeks. and to this day i still dont have spider mites. but before that i tried perrinthium bombs and lady bugs, even tried predatory mites and nothing worked. the only thing was hand spraying the under side of the leaves for three weeks strait.

Rite on thanks guys..I keep hearing neem oil. I may try that..the doctor doom spray I got from the hydro store seems to be working well. I guess ill have to keep trying that till I can get something else...I'm a Hort major in school n in the greenhouse we've been dealingg with diffrent bugs n stuff but we took n trimmed the plants back to nothing then pulled em from the pots n low power pressure washed the rooots and switched the pots and used fresh soil.....can I do this with my girls... I kno cannabis is pretty hardy but can it take a change like that?? Maybe trim off all leaves and swap pots and soil?

Try out Azamax. Ive never used it, but its supposedly one of the best anti-mite products. Its also "Natural".

Rite on...guess I'm not too worried bout "organic" cuz my floering garden is ok as of now.. everything has just started budding or is only 4 weeks in tops so I can still spray for a couple more weeks if they get affected but my vegging women I'm not worried about cuz I can keep them going as long as I need. Jus want em good asap so I can start cloning again lol. I should pry be somewhat careful wat I'm sprayin tho cuz my veg and flower gardens are really close to eacch other but the segregation area is in a completely different level of the crib

On Ebay they have a triple threat. Floramite, forbid, and avid $40 shipped next day. I tried EVERYTHING from my local hydro shop and they kept coming back. Each one of these will make 12 gallons of spray. I mixed all 3 at a lower dose then recommended and sprayed the hell out of EVERYTHING. Walls, floor, every nook and cranny. I did this 3x at 6 days apart. Havent seen ANY type of bugs in my op.

It will stay in plant tissue for 30 days. I wouldnt use it on anything flowering. It is some nasty shit.

Dont even mess around with anything else you will just be throwing money away. I wish someone would have told me this before i spent hundreds of dollars on bombs and all kinds of shit.

No need for any trimming.

I had a moderate spider mite infestation, and azamax worked with 2 applications. I just sprayed the undersides real good, and they magically disappeared. It was like 20 or 25 bux for 8 oz though, I thought it was a little pricey, but it worked.

corey did you remove your hot shot strips after hanging for a few days then rehung for 24-48 hours a day after taking them down?Damn I'm not sure I understood that shit.I get the southern red spidermite and I hang for 48 hours, remove for 24 hours then rehang for 24-48 hours. It works on the brick red bastards every time the two spotted I havent experienced

YOU DO NOT WANT TO HARM YOUR PLANTS WITH HARMFUL CHEMICALS, get stuff containg pyrethrum or neem extracts, i use NEEM OIL . to activate it you must mix with soap!! .. start spraying from bottom up ..... start at pot and work your way up making sure to get under every leaf until you make your way to the top.. if these methods do not work than this means you have a SERIOUS infestation .. try finding a product called FLORAMITE that shit always does the trick, but is much more harmful then NEEMS AND PYRETHRUM

one trick i have found helpful (besides einstein oil and azamax in rotation) is just creating unfavorable breeding conditions. mites will breed faster when it is hotter, drier, and calmer. if you make it cold, wet, and windy, they can not reproduce as quickly.

and i would not use avid and floromite at the same time if you go that route. you are supposed to use them in rotation so that mites do not develop an immunity to one or the other, thus creating a super mite.

I mentioned in another life that a cool mist humidifier during veg will prevent the putrid little pukes from ever getting a foothold I've been doing it for a long time now and its been awhile since I got spidermites in veg

I find that spraying the little pricks every 3rd day with neem will get rid of them. However, if you are lazy and don't get under all of the leaves the little bastards will be back for sure! I usually neem them 3 times and throw a bomb in there and this does the trick for me.

stick with neem oil, use during veg to prevents mites, it confuses them, they dont eat or breed, eggs dont hatch etc, also spray soil as roots will take up and gives extra protection. 1 teaspoon 100 percent cold pressed neem oil, 2 litres water, little washing up liquid, shake and spray at lights off only
