spider mites in flowering

What a downer. I'm 5 weeks in and for the last 2 thought I was dealing with a nute problem and/or temp issue. I was getting some clawing/ram's horn on some of the leaves and blotching and crispy fan leaves but not the little spots that you sometimes see first.
I blasted the little fuckers with ivermectin spray and they are dead now. Obviously I will have to repeat in 10-14 days to get any new hatchlings.

My questions are how the hell did I get mites in my flowering tent when all of my veg and clones are fine? I have been looking daily with 30x magnification to make sure. Where do they come from in the middle of winter and they obviously aren't in my veg room? I haven't been doing any yard work and this is the first time I've had them in this house and new tent.

The other question is whether or not it is worth finishing these ladies. I have 10 pre-98 Bubba Kush. I don't mind losing the extra time but the cost I've spent on just the 5 weeks will hurt as will the delay.
Should I spray them with water to get the dead mites and eggs off? I assume the trimming will remove the majority of them and I haven't seen any actually on the buds themselves.

Is it too hot in your room? Spider mites are attracted to dry and hot areas where they can feed. They also produce eggs every 36 hours so they can accumulate quickly. Best thing i have found is neem oil. from start to end. Just spray them every week or so. It almost puts a coating on the leaves but isn't harmful. Thats my insight.

I'm running my tent about 75-78°F with co2 @ 1500ppm. I already dropped the humidity from 55% to 35%, the lowest my dehumidifier can go. I like harvesting this strain at 70 days but I suspect the mite infestation might extend that some. I do have real bug killer. Ivermectin is a miticide related to the active ingredient in Avid. The day after I sprayed, all I could find are dead mites. I will continue to check daily. However, that is one of my issues. I don't want to sell it with dead mites and eggs on it but like I said, I haven't seen them actually go on the buds themselves.

Does anyone know how long after they hatch out they are able to breed and lay eggs? As long as I spray the new batch of nymphs before they reach adulthood and breed, I'm sure I will be fine. That's why I estimated between 10-14 days but I could shorten the interval if needed.
