Spider Mites - Chop?

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the spider mites on my 2 girls under control at all with azapro and water sprays and theyre getting out of control. Almost every leaf has eggs on my right plant and the left plant is spreading quickly as well. I need some opinions on if I should chop or a solution? Also, if they aren't contained by harvest, is there harm of still processing and smoking the bud?

Okay very helpful thank you. reading more on it, I guess DE is similar to glass shards under a microscope. Where I'm at in flower I don't want to risk smoking anything that's going to be harmful to that degree. Would using a hefty amount of water in a spray bottle over everything before harvest clean everything off?

You can buy Montery brand and dilute per instruction and mist the plants. Or buy Captain Jack's already in a spray bottle. No need to wash it off...it isn't poison and dissipates on its own ..will not affect taste. I've used it a week before harvest for budworms as well as mites

D e is food grade. It is safe for you 2 consume and yea it's like glass or razors to a bug. It gets in the cracks of their armor and cuts em up and dries em out

I ended up getting some of this. So I'm safe to spray directly onto the plant and buds? Just making sure.

oh my i even try to avoid these threads. Happened to me one time and boy did it grow to be a problem in days I never expected it that fast a takeover. was on week eitht low side of ready so after a trip consulting with a store owner best to chop and be done. fumigated the room and house big time. never happened again many yrs later. I wont ever pot clones outside again on a pretty day ever again. That make it 8 weeks I never saw it till it went nuts everywhere in 3 days.

I disagree with the bailing out/ chop. You can easily deter mites to lower pest pressure and even if high pressure those kind of mites ( vs broad/hrm) are not gonnea degrade ur over all buds as they are leaf eaters. de-leaf it 90% and spray with 1/3 70% iso 1/3 sals soap 1/3 vegetable oil or canola. Apply at 1oz per gal, apply next 24hrs again, next day 1/2 oz per gal . I suggest mixing this into water and stir it but wait 10-15minutes before spraying. Spray in dark and have min 3 hour before lights on .key is spraying 100% of leafs exp the underleaf.

yes iso degrades but not enough at this rate to worry and def will kill ur eggs, all stages of those species of mites . the good news and main reason I‘m explaining this /replied was I didn’t see anyone explain these mites won’t eat ur buds down but also like many pest once u dry it they will leave ur plant. once chopped down they will literally go onto the tip of ur stem and scout. If you go in first 3-5 days if pressure high and use iso and wipe the tips than ur even doing another mode of eradication.

don’t make ag/farming out to be end game, youlll be fine but remember in future IPM and prevention and scouting is key ! Yes you’ll get crop but those bugs did fuck with ya, it’s the keeping super low pressure or none is key and you can def do it in future. farmings a lesson in itself and more issues more u appreciate when u can overcome and not have those issues.
