Good question. Opinions will likely vary on this but... I think the stage of flowering should be considered.

I don't think it will make your buds toxic, but I'd use caution when / if spraying anything with water as a main ingredient on mature buds late in flower if you have mold concerns.

When used early in flower, it doesn't seem to leave any taste etc. Admittedly most of my experience with it has been to ensure girls are mite free before they go to 12/12, so I can't say I've used it within days of chopping.

When trying something new, consider only using it on a test plant or two and then decide.

no clue tbh sorry, if u have a bad mite infestation and u are early in flower id give it a try

Hasn't happened in my experience, but again, I can't recall using it in late flower.

Most of the use has been in veg. and some in early flower as a precaution. A good rule of thumb is keep the veg girls and the flower girls separate and don't begin to flower a girl until she's been inspected and shows signs of good all around health and vigor.

Nobody likes to hear the following advice, but if mites, powdery mildew etc. never seems to go away, it's sometimes a good idea to shut EVERYTHING down, do a really good cleaning and start fresh.

Not a good mild sweet smoke with pepper spray and avoid dawn dish soap and bug juice in flower,also a tatse of soap in each puff there...ask me how I know?

A. Toxicological Profile
EPA has evaluated the available toxicity data and considered its validity, completeness, and reliability as well as the relationship of the results of the studies to human risk. EPA has also considered available information concerning the variability of the sensitivities of major identifiable subgroups of consumers, including infants and children.

Spiromesifen was classified as having low acute toxicity via the oral, dermal and inhalation routes of exposure. It was neither an eye nor dermal irritant, but showed moderate potential as a skin contact sensitizer. In short- and long-term animal toxicity tests, the critical effects observed were loss of body weight, adrenal effects (discoloration, decrease in fine vesticulation, and the presence of cytoplasmic eosinophilia in zona fasciculata cells), thyroid effects (increased thyroid stimulating hormone, increased thyroxine binding capacity, decreased T3 and T4 levels, colloidal alteration and thyroid follicular cell hypertrophy), liver effects (increased alkaline phosphatase, alanine transaminase (ALT) and decreased cholesterol, and triglycerides), and spleen effects (atrophy, decreased spleen cell count, and increased macrophages). There were no developmental or reproductive effects of concern following oral administration of spiromesifen in rats or rabbits. EPA concluded that spiromesifen is not likely to be carcinogenic to humans based on a lack of evidence of cancer in bioassays in rats and mice. There were no in vivo or in vitro mutagenic effects in mutagenicity testing with spiromesifen. To further understand what this says past the having low acute toxicity via the oral, dermal and inhalation routes of exposure.
