i'll let you all know if it works, i use it on my outdoor flower garden with no ill effects. there are 4, 2 week old plants. 1 of the plant tops was completely wrapped together with webbing. i gently pulled it all apart. looks like it's going to survive.

What i have found works best is to buy a pack of American spirit cigarettes (No additives) and remove all of the tobacco, add to a quart of water and simmer for about a half an hour. Then add 1/2 quart of water (Phed of course) and spray under and all over leaves and plant.

Tried Neem Oil for weeks with almost no affect but this solution killed them the first time!! Voila~ it was like a miracle. see what others think but thats what worked for me and i had them bad!!

Commercial greenhousemen are very familiar with nicotine based insecticides. They are also natural and organic.

Good luck!

Next time I have a mite issue, I'm going w/nicotine tea, as mentioned above.
I've used neems, pyrethrum, permithrin, and rotenone, which all worked to varying degrees.

Some reputable RIU folks are sold on tobacco solution, so I'll try it.

yeah I think I'll try that tonight. Neem oil works ok but I can never seem to completely get rid of the fuckers! So the ratio is 1 quart of water to one pack of smokes?

I should add that it seems using a barrage of different methods is most effective on mites, as they may even develop immunities to the same thing, over and over.
Permithin is basically pyrethrum-like w/some other crap that makes it last 3 weeks instead of pyrethrums usual 12 hours or so. I used it for years and saw no mites. Recently it failed to kill mites on several plants. You figure it out? Used something else and finished them off w/neems, which I'll use until about 2 weeks before harvest (and I won't douse the actual buds on purpose)

hey folks, thanks for the replys
it looks like the boric acid did the trick. they got a good washing tonight and i didn't see anything.
i've heard of the tobaco soup before, i will be getting ingredients for it tomorrow. i've read you want to add a few drops of dish washing soap to the mix to help it stick to the plant.

Nematodes get rid of every single creature you have infecting your plants. It is like a magic spell. You must do it in the dark, only with a flaslight covered in green.

I think that boric acid fucked up your plants! How did you remove it from your plants? did you water that stuff in?
