do you have a dog or a cat that goes in the grow room for any long period of time, if so keep them out. Go google it they carry them I found out the hard way
^^Right.
And no cutting grass and shit, and then screwing with the plants without changing your clothes and showering first. If it's your only clean shirt and pants, throw them in the dryer until they're hot.

You dont wanna play games with mites. Especially the supermites they have around here! They will laugh at you while your spraying them with neem oil!
He's right a lot of mites build tolerances to neem, no pest strips, and other chemicals that have been used on them.. I hear great things about might wash, rasta bobs and predatory mites for getting rid of spider mite problems.. good luck dude.

Eagle20 should be used with caution...ONLY IN VEG...Myclobutanil stays in the plants system for 60 days. Also, I would use gloves, long sleeves, goggles, and a respirator when applying, because it's knows to cause birth defects and be a reproductive inhibiter. Also, it's pretty much just for PM, and wont really help with an insect problem...

Avid might be expensive, but not only will it completely obbliterate your insect problems in a grow room, it'll kill your neighbors mites...It's toxic stuff and should be used with caution as well. Products that work are expensive...

Personally, I don't fancy the idea of spraying poisons on my plants...But I would endorse neem oil and mighty wash, and I believe azamax is a concentrate of neem, so probably less harmful than some other poisons.

First off to forget about spraying plants when you got mites proper way to rid them is to actually make a barrel of pesticide and take your plant and tip it upside down right to soil slowly moving it up n down do this 2 times 4 day interval and there gone for good when spraying plants you might rid some actual mites but you don;t rid the eggs week later right temps and humidity and you got another infestation of mites
Also cleanliness is key in any room once you a finished flowering a person should take bleach and pine sol and thoroughly wipe all components , wash floor walls everything wash all your pots with this stuff as well everything has to be sterilized or them fckers will come back Do Not Re- Use your soil
if you got buddy s that grow don't show them your room they could have pests and or disease that will carry into your room if you receive any clones and or plants from anyone never place them into your rooms Quarantine them and spray them prior to placing into your environment

not completely correct....if you use neem properly it coates the eggs and stops them hatching or suffocates them.............any that survive wont breed and they certainly wont want to eat your plants............a 2nd spray finishes the job.......

just use neem and save a whole lot more.........

Ahh the crunchy granola crowd never fails to chirp ... perhaps it hasn't occurred to you that I've used neem for a lot of years and that my circumstances are now different... but then again you have no need to know my circumstances.....

you mention if you use neem properly lol i dont care what anyone says if you think your little spray gun is going to get rid of them all your out to lunch trust me i know to properly get rid of them fckers once an for all is to catch them in veg state get a 189 liter , 50 gallon drum fil it full with water either use bug B gone mix it accordlingly and wash your plants or any other decent pesticide and actually dunk the plant upside down

To the op if you got cuttings there 100 percent got eggs on them as well prior to transplanting also dunk them do it 2 - 3 times and you will 100 percent get rid of them once n for all also on the day you do it take them out of room dunk em , and place them in another room once all plants are out get washing / sterilizing room prior to putting plants back in

And to Del try spraying 700 plants you might think oh boy i got them but funny shit 99.9 percent of the time will come back only thing you are doing now is controling them not getting rid of them
you want them gone so dunk complete plant upside down this way you know you washed them off by slowly moving plant up n down even with other hand you can carefully run your hand on under side of leafs and stem thats where they seem to appear huh del
PS: if your in flower all you can do is control them and hope plants get done before the damage is done good luck

cause of them spider mites i had them for 2 grows few years back till i smartened up and did total grow room cleaning / pine sol / bleach and also dunked them plants since then i have never seen one i also implemented neem oil on a weekly bases just cause makes plants even more healthier but i am being totally honest you have to dunk plants completly only way to rid them borg if your in flower then organic pesticide, use neem up to 5th week but again your only going to control them cause you dont want buds to wet from it causeing other issues

I know that I am "nobody" in the forums here, and that I've said it already but just get some Mighty Wash. I've tried everything under the sun to kill these little fuckers and the only thing that has hands down worked has been mighty wash, avid, and sns217. I wont get into why I hate avid as it's a gnarly pesticide and who wants to use that shit. The sns217 worked very well but smelled like shit as it's a rosemary extract. Mighty wash worked so well that I don't even give a fuck if I get mites again at any stage of flower. Hit them with the water and it's over. I don't understand the resistance to using something that so many people say works so well and is so safe you can drink it. All other "organic" solutions seem to kinda work, sorta, if you do it right, kinda.

Mites are negatively charged and mighty wash is positively charged. When a mite is sprayed with the positively charged water, the water is electrostatically drawn to the mite and encapsulates it with said water. Being as living things need air to breathe the mite is essentially drown in a matter of seconds due to the bubble of water that is surrounding it. It also cannot simply walk away from the water because it the water is actually stuck to the mite (think how your pants stick to your leg because of static electricity when they are fresh out of the dryer). Being immune to drowning is impossible so a "tolerance" to this product is impossible. Spray, wait 3 days, spray again and be done.

I'm just trying to help you guys understand how and why this shit works. I don't work for the company or any company "in the industry" and I don't give a shit whether you use it or not. I joined this site to help others how others have helped me, nothing more, nothing less. If you find what I have to say useful, cool. If not, cool.

I had mites once and had to toss my whole grow at the beginning of this year. I now use azamax as a drench preventative. I don't have the patience or sharp enough eyes to wash and wipe down leaves.

I think the most effective POISON (yes 100% toxic... this shit will mess you up too so suit up!) is Avid. I wouldn't use it once flowers begin to form... but until then you are fine. SOAK the plants completely including the underside of the leaves and the stems (do this in dim conditions). Wait five days and do it again... the first dose will kill the live borg... the second dose will kill any eggs that have just hatched. If done properly you are now rid of these horrible little monsters.

My policy is to "dunk" incoming clones in a strong Avid solution before they are introduced to my garden.

alp

ps: I get it that folks don't like to use poison on a plant they are going to consume either through ingestion or by way of smoking.. but let's be honest here... the plant is 100% useless if the bugs eat it before you can harvest it. If you use your poison routine BEFORE your flowers begin to set, you have plenty of opportunity to "wash off" excess toxins that may still be present on the surface of the plant.
Before the crunchy granola crowd chirps again ... yes I realize that we have no effective means of removing any toxins that have entered the plant structure proper... this is something for the scientists to determine... I'm not aware one way or the other if my chosen poison is a systemic killer (ie: the toxin is absorbed by the plant).

The two best products I know of and have seen work first hand are Mighty Wash or Predatory Mites.. Predatory Mites eat the spider mites and then when all the spider mites are gone they eat eachother..

prevention is better than cure................
absolutely! after every harvest or at least twice a year a grower should clean their grow room mop the floor with bleach water, wipe down walls with bleach water or some sort of disinfectant, bug bomb the room etc .... I myself wipe down walls and mop with bleach water then I throw a Dr. Doom big bomb in there and just this last harvest I started putting some Diamatacious Earth in the corners of the room and along the walls to prevent any critters/bugs from coming through cracks that arent that easy to spot.

Stop bombing and start bleaching (The room not the plants). Mites become immune to pyritrins. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make. They spray the plants but don't sterilize the room.Take your plants out every month or so and Bleach your floors, bleach your walls, and bleach your pots between uses. Don't use ammonia it gives off fumes the plants can't handle. Use rubbing alchohol on your reflectors. Clean Clean Clean.
