Probably best to make ISO if the weed has a lot of spidermites on it. My 2 pence.
Isopropyl (sp?) Alcohol (AKA rubbing alcohol)
Hexane is better as it doesn't remove the chlorophyll too.

If you set your material outside they will go away. There is no juice flowing in a picked plant so they just bug off.
their eggs, shit, dead skin, & webs is still attached to the trim. Not what I want to smoke.

Isopropyl or hexane is probably your best bet if you want bug free smokeage.

I've smoked plants that had been infested with spidermites. I can't honestly say that I noticed any difference.
