Not sure if any of you guys ever heard about the habenero solution to spray on plants for spider mites? https://www.rollitup.org/bugs/475307-how-kill-spider-mites-100-a-45.html

I scrolled through the post and couldn't find anyone confirming if it worked. This is BS I started some plants inside and they're just seedlings now. I stuck them in my basement tonight under lights and within hours these fuckers were already on my plants.

I'm going to spray them with this mix and let you guys know once and for all if it works.

i didn't even read the link you posted but i have a book i have seen it in that i read... i forget the exact measurment but it is a good spray to use for spider mites you just have to find the right amount.... also another thing you can use is neem oil, or corriandar oil if you really want to get serious you can buy lady bugs and they rip spider mites to shreds... good luck :leaf:

thanks for the info bro. I don't think i'm going to measure it out. just put a shitload of them in a water mix for super concentration. shouldn't hurt the babies since plants don't have mucus membranes.

if you don't like oils and want something very affective go with mighty wash by npk industries.
of course anything you spray has a chance of killing them as long as contact is made, what you spray with and how completely you spray with it is what matters.
Even petroleum oil (purespray green) kills mites and eggs as long as it contacts them. it kills by suffocation .

neem although plenty people praise it I've seen others praise it one moment and then hate it for some reason. I use pyrethrin based spray and azamax(which is the active ingredient in neem) azamax kills by suffocation and also contains a hormone that makes the mites stop multiplying . late in flower I'll use nothing but mighty wash though.

I'm probably going to get a commercial product that'll help prevent them. I'm just looking for an immediate method to kill them now. I got tons of the habeneros laying around from my garden last year.

No pest strips will knock em way back. The chemical breaks down rapidly and is used in veggie storage places.

Mix with garlic if you have it, tobacco too(fag butts?) very lightly simmer (boiling destroys the properties i think), strain, spray. Worked for me with repeated applications. Yellow paper/vaseline.
Outside, interplant with pyrethrum daisies.
Inside, bear in mind whatever you spray won't get washed off by rain.

This is EXACTLY what i did last night. 2 cups water, 10 good medium-sized habeneros in a pot. Chopped them up real fine and stuck them in the pot with the water. simmered (didn't boil) for about 35mins and would stir it every now and then. I strained it and put it in a clean spray bottle. Went downstairs sprayed the babies down good and those bugs met a very painful, fiery death that the bastards deserve. I tested it on some that were on the floor and they die almost instantly, about 5 seconds. Almost positive it doesn't effect eggs though. I also sprayed a decent perimeter around all of my plants and on the pots as well. I checked them this morning when i woke up and i didn't see any live bugs on the plant or pot. I sprayed them again just to be safe. They're starting to gather again around the perimeter where i sprayed so I'm going to put another good helping of it around the perimeter again.

conclusion:
works great for immediate relief. Doesn't kill eggs. Works somewhat good as a deterrent if you spray a perimeter. Wears off pretty quick so you need to spray them about every day.

i use this for deer and other mammals, around 10 habanero's, 1 cup veggy oil, mix in blender and set in fridge overnight. strain mixture and place oil in spray bottle, fill rest of way with water then 2-3 drops organic dish soap. shake before every spraying and keep attention to wind direction.

DUDE this shit absolutely CRUSHED all of them. I tested it on 4 different bugs: a pill bug, a big-ass black pincher bug, a spider mite, and a june beetle. Killed ALL of them, I believe through suffocation. kicked their ass. made my house smell like garlicy ass though.

2 cups water
10 habeneros pulsed in a blender to fine consistency
2tbs garlic powder
2tbs onion powder
1/2 cup cooking oil
2tbsp cayenne pepper
I also added a good pinch of tobacco from a bag of pipe tobacco.

simmer (dont boil) 15-20mins. strain into spray bottle then add a drop or two of dish soap. shake before use and spray on area.

Are you sure what killed them was the concoction you made and not just drowning?

I'm pretty sure it was the concoction because the bigass pincher bug didnt die at first it got pissed and ran around then it kinda slowly slowed down and died. Same with the potatoe bug. I think the oil sticks to them or something combined with the spices and kills them.

Yeah used it and it does not work that well. Neem oil or Mighty Wash.

Killing the bugs is not the problem. Killing their eggs is the problem. Get some Forbid 4f on ebay, spray them once in vegetative stage and mites gone forever. The shit is super expensive, $400 per pint, but you can buy small amounts of it cheaply on ebay for $20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pipette-free-gift-of-Forbid-4f-Miticide-1-4-oz-Aphids-Mites-No-Sales-To-CA-/271201012911?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f24d70caf
It's the strongest shit I've ever seen. 1ml makes a gallon of spray. A gallon will last you a year.

Seriously, I had a years long mite infestation. I tried everything under the sun. Got the forbid 4f, sprayed them once in vegetative and infestation gone. It keeps killing them for six weeks. You dont even have to spray the undersides of the leaves, it kills them right THROUGH the leaf eggs and all.

If you want your mite infestation to simply go away, get some forbid.

This habanero concoction must be the reason why the og my friend picks up for me smells like pepper. One of the worst smells you could put on weed. Nobody ever refers to peppery smelling weed as a good attribute. I don't use insecticide. I substitute the bloom in the 2 part Lucas formula for a DIY 2 part bloom. I use that 2 part bloom with the store bought micro (or my DIY micro) thereby creating a 3 part Lucas. 16ml per gallon of bloom A , 16 ml per gallon of bloom B and 8 ml per gallon of micro. Bloom part A is 997 grams MKP topped to 1 gallon with pure hot water. Bloom part B is 668 grams of Epsom Salt topped off in a separate container. Use it the same way the Lucas formula suggests. What happens? You're plants take off because they finally get enough potassium. All bugs die within about a week. The plants also becomes immune to powdery mildew as long as you have adequate ventilation. All without having to selectively spray your plants with anything. A constant sentinel and an effortless super-panacea that helps with every important aspect of your grow and it isn't an insecticide that could harm the taste of your stuff. It's simply an alternative nutrient. Neem oil?? I think not. Anything that smells bad and isn't a plant nutrient has no place in the grow room if there is a better alternative, and this is one.
