Spider Farmer SF 2000 Dimming Update

I'm new to this all, but did my research and decided on the Spider Farmer SF 2000. I ordered it a couple weeks ago and it came with an external dimmer which I was not expecting, but man is it nice! Additional info included in the box showed you can cascade the control for them with an RJ45 cable which they included. ...Nicely done Spider Farmer. This seems like a great update to an already strong product.

How many total watts is that light and what's the footprint like, that is a nice feature for a cheaper light

I know a lot of people weren't happy with the dimming before so thats nice they added that feature.

I have a alibaba sf1000 from archibald and it came with a dimmer as well.

I bought 2 SF 2000 the other week. I had been using viparspectra. Unfortunately mine didn't come with the added dimmer. Hopefully my next one's do. I bought mine from HPs2led they are a UK supplier for spider farmer. I have a sf1000 on the way for vegging. Let's hope it beats the viparspectra for size and growth in veg.

Does anybody know how exactly this dimmer is made? As I know when you use N number of drivers The resistance or dimmer potentiometer should be 100/N. As I understand all the models have same kind of linear potentiometer. How does it operate? in case of single unit I understand, but when some number of lights are connected, it needs to be different resistance and dont really understand how its made. Also, when several lights are connected, which one's potentiometer is master and controls all others? there should be single one which controls...

I assume you connect a dimmer to each driver. And the dimmers talk to each other via the rj45 to make 1 the master. Therefore the resistance value doesn't change per driver-dimmer connection it stays at 0-100k ohm
