Hey guys, welcome to my grow journal where I will be experimenting with a Spider Farmer SE3000 & a new 3x3 tent.

@Spiderfarmerled have graciously provided me with the light to test out in my new 3x3 setup where I will be growing two different autos from fast buds.

- Setup -

Spider farmer SE3000
3x3x6 Grow Tent
Soil Medium
Seeds - CBD 20:1 & West Coast O.G both are autos

The light came fast and was very well packaged. It was assembled quickly thanks to it's easy design and took me less than 15-20 minutes to put together.
This is my first "bar" style LED and the fit and the finish is very sturdy. It uses high quality parts such as the Mean Well driver alongside Samsung LM301B Diodes & looks great, not to mention that it can pull up to 280-300w from the wall. This is an upgrade from my previously used SF1000 which served me well for a 100w equivalent light.

I will be germinating the seeds over the next few days and will post weekly updates on where they're at.

27/01/22 - Update on the journal.

The seeds have been placed into rockwool and I'm waiting for them to germinate. I'm going to attempt to grow one of them in a DWC system while the other will be a regular soil grow.

once sprouted both seedling will be placed in the tent.

The one on the right is the west coast O.G and the one on the left is the 20:1CBD

Update 31/01/22

Seeds have sprouted and have been placed in the tent under the SE3000

I am trying my hand at DWC with one seed just to dip my feet in the water.

The one in the soil is the West Coast O.G

The One In the DWC is the 20:1 CBD​

Update 04/02/22

Seedlings are slowly taking off, this is my first time germinating in rockwool and I feel like I planted them a bit early but things are slowly moving along.

This is my first endeavor into the world of DWC and I am using the BioBizz try pack (Bio Bloom - Top max - Bio Heaven - CalMag)

The one in the soil is the West Coast O.G (cup on top to stop the rockwool from drying out too quick)

The plant in the middle is a Charlottes Angel CBD strain and its loving the SE3000

The One In the DWC is the 20:1 CBD

The newer upgraded SE3000 light rails extend all the way to the edges.

That's cool :) none the less not gonna complain as it's a far better light than the sf1000 I was using initially.

Looking good though buddy happy growing

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was knocking it. I wasn't. I love Spider Farmer. You lucked out getting a free one from them. My smaller one is a Maxsisun MF1000.

Did they approach you or did you win a chance at trying their light for free or something. Either way looking good man, I have one of those 20:1 CBD from Fastbuds going too. Good luck with your grow :peace:

Sweet she's doing pretty well considering one feeding I had messed up with bad PH as my meter was screwed...

I approached them myself and they gave me a chance to review/grow with the light. I had previous lights from them too. The SF1000 worked great for my 2x2 but needed an upgrade for my 3x3.

No no not knocking it at all, the model I have already works great so I can imagine the newly finished one works great too :)

Update - 07/02/22

Things are moving along nicely and the plant in the middle is just about to switching to flower :)

The "solo cup" plant in the back is my first ever attempt and trying to grow in a solo cup from start to finish just for fun. So don't be too harsh on me :rolleyes:

09/02/22 update

Added a security cam to the grow tent

They seem to be doing well and loving the light.

The main plant looks like it's about to finish up it's stretch and go fully into flower.

I keep trying to tuck the larger fan leaves but they keep reaching for the light, don't blame them hey hahaha

Update 13/02/22

My soil grow seems to be going just fine, my hydro grow on the other hand not looking too good..

The hydro plant seems to be going slower than I expected compared to the rate of growth that I've seen on here. Might let it run and see what happens or just wait till next winter to experiment with hydro...

For now my main medium of choice is gonna be pro mix/light mix and I might give coco a shot before I try DWC again.

Update 17/02/22

The plant is loving it! Besides the droop as the photo was taken just after it's night cycle and had just gotten it's water topped off.

I decided I'm not gonna try my hand at dwc untill I get great results with soil first. I plan on removing the dwc bucket and starting a new seed in a regular soil pot.

Update 19/02/22

Defoliated and removed the hydro setup.

Starting to show off the bud sites on the main plant (Charlottes Angel CBD), Slight defoliation for lower bud sights.

Started off a new seed in the grey 3 gal pot (FastBuds CBD 20:1) hoping to see it pop up in the next coming days.

Moved my solo cup outside as I noticed s few gnats and wanted to make sure they do not spread to the rest of the tent.

My fault as I let it sit in runoff a little to long... You live and you learn... It's merely my third ever attempt at growing so mistakkes are expected to be made.

Update 23/02/22

Skywalker Haze & Charlottes Angel both in early flower

Skywalker growing outside in a "Solo cup" as part of a challenge

Charlottes Angel Indoor in a 3x3 under a SE3000 from spider farmer.

A bit droopy at the time of taking the photo because it needed to be watered.​

Little Update 26/02/22

Defoliated further but trying to to get rid of too much incase of stunting anything.

Been feeding bloom nutrients slowly and still managed to get some burnt tips but that's recoverable..​

I’m 3 weeks into flower right now wondering what your experience with light distance is. Ik a lot of ppl say keep them 24 inches even in flower to not have any kind of stress but then idk what kind of ppfd I’m hitting. Rn I have it at 16 inches away at 60% plants love it. Have co2 temps are around 80. I’m wondering if I can move it 12 or 10” away like it recommends and actually knoe I’m hitting the proper ppfd. Thanks :)
