This run I upgraded my led from a Mars hydro fce 4600 480w to a spider farmer fe 7000 780w I know it’s a massive upgrade for a 4/4 tent but I’ve it seems that I’ve to keep it far away as possible from my canopy on 20% is any one else running this led that can advise me about it more I know it’s abit of a silly question but I’m flipping in the next few days so I’m not sure if to keep the light on 20% it’s currently about 4ft from my plants

i run my 4x4 on 480w at peak flowering which is like 4-5 weeks for most of my plants. i start at 160 for first week acclimation, bump it up to 320 for veg then flip and start giving 480. then in ripening period it goes down to 320 again. always keeping it at under 20cm. i dont use this light but 20% at 4ft is crazy.

at 20% its not 780w. its 156w. am i missing something? it should be closer to your canopy. it should be at 20cm at 20% and you should always keep it at around 20-30cm but increase the wattage as they grow..

You really need to get an accurate tool to read the ppfd or lux levels. There's no substitute for repeatable performance with lights. A cheap lux meter will give you good baseline numbers you can convert to ppfd. Mine was 45 bucks and I wish I had bought one years ago. It sounds like you're running it way too low as far as power levels and too high for height. I run the SF7000 which is a qb design and at those power levels I'd be very under lit for my canopy.

Okay I did do this on my last grow but this light just seem so much powerful even at 20% I can feel the intensity and my par readings are over 300 I’ll lower the light and see how they react I’ve over the next few
