THC degrades to CBD and CBN with light

Can curing your indicas in a cool place with lots of light help speed conversion of THC to the more narcotic cannabinoids?

I will try this next harvest in 2 weeks but I would like to know other's thoughts beforehand.

Dude I don't know where you got that from... I love the indicas I have growing right now. I want to be able to make whatever bud I have more narcotic without genetics being a limiting factor. Thanks though I'll keep everyone informed.

from what i've read, you'll get CBN as the degradation product of THC + light
the CBD is determined by genetics, and you won't get it from the THC

Growone spot on!!! Turns out I've been misinformed and that THC does not in fact convert to CBD at all just to CBN, which, according to pureanalytics:

  • CBN has some psychoactive properties, about 10% of the strength of THC.
  • CBN is thought by researchers to enhance the dizziness and disorientation users of cannabis may experience.
  • It may cause feelings of grogginess and has been shown to reduce heart rate.
so fuck that noise.

Speed up the process? for danker bud? I think its the other way around, the longer you allow any cannabis to ripen the more narcotic the feeling is.
