hmmm interesting.. ill have to cut, trim half and then leave the other half to dry then trim... that will decide the way i trim the rest of the harvest[which will be a week-2 later - sativas]

i feel like its so much easier to cut them wet though!! hm [not calling you an idiot for doing what you like. not at all friend]

I feel it is so much easier to cut them dry - but won´t call you...............

We will have to agree to differ on that.

I have decided to go back to mason jars this year to cure and store my bud. Huge and heavy but the best container - got some nice big 2 litre ones from the Chinese bazaar. And found some smaller in my downstairs shed.

i have to go cop me about 30 of them jars for harvest !!!!!

Second girl went down today - first will be dry in a couple of days.

Found a half hour spare to start trimming, just did the nugs on 4 of the very small lower branches, 2/3 of an ounce so far but it is SOOOOOO sticky - best quality I have ever had.

Spent yesterday morning and this morning trimming my first girl down - went for a beer to celebrate when I reached the magical 454 grams dried - ONE POUND !!!!!! Still an ounce or so left on the plant - will get that later or tomorrow.

^Awesome yield, man. You're one of the few guys I've ever seen achieve the yields the seedbanks claim. Good work, much to be proud of.

No problem man, you've earned it. I wanted to ask you a few things about your training technique, if you don't mind? It's sounds very similar to what I'm doing with my indoor grow, something I'm just now trying. When you tie your main stem down, do you do it in veg? I'm guessing that's a yes? I guess my main question is.... do you release it, when the other branches have caught up, or do you leave it tied down, and let nature take over, re-directing growth from there? Also,...do you have to train any of the side branches, or do they all rise up and meet the canopy, on their own, evenly, like your's have?

Right now, I've been "bending" my main stem, then releasing it when the side-branches have risen to meet the canopy. This is my first attempt using that method, and aside from wishing I'd kept it tied down for a few more days, I'm quite impressed with the results. I certainly beats topping, FIM and supercropping, IMO. It has a much faster response time, better results, and is less stressful, in my experience. I'm guessing you'll agree with that observation?

jawbrod, yes I tie the plant down during veg, I don´t do it without any great finesse, just tie the top of the plant to a chunk of concrete until the tip is horizontal, using garden twine.

I don´t release the twine at all, in fact I find that as harvest approaches the twine becomes slack - plant is borne down by its own weight.

^Thank you, kind sir. I was asking if you did it in veg(which would otherwise, be common sense), because I am trying something similar, right now, 8 days into flowering. I had bent the main top down in veg, waited for the side branches to rise. but released it a bit too soon, and it passed up the side branches by a few inches, already. Well, being that the plants just started stretching, I tied it back down,(two days ago) in hopes that the side branches will quickly shoot up to meet the canopy. What I'm hoping, is that it doesn't stunt them too badly, being that this is a time of much activity/growth, and have negative results. I have two bent like that, as we speak, and two more, left untrained. I'm seriously considering doing the same with those, but wanted to ask for some opinions, first. What do you think? Worth the risk?

can you take an upclose bud shot? you can't really tell what it looks like. it looks kind of brown in the jar.

Just finished putting the second plant in jars. Very much the runt of the litter, yielding just 198 grams, 7 ounces on the nose.

Will get a lot more than 7 ounces off the third plant. Just put 150 grams in a big 3 litre mason jar today when my scale went phut.
