Sour Diesel, Kosher Kush, OG18, AK47?

Fellow growers,

i'm starting to chose the strains for my next grow. Since i'm scrogging, they have to be feminized.
Taste and flavor is very important to me. Plus I dont wanna grow unstable, super picky, sensitive strains.

So I've always been interested in growing the Sour D from Reserva Privada. I couldnt find reliable grow reports on it, so I was hoping to get some info here.

Can somebody tell me if they are somehow more hermie prone than other feminized seeds? Cuz thats what i heard. I never had a serious hermie problem before, just a few seeds here and there.

The Kosher Kush from DNA sounds very interesting to me, i'm also eye balling the OG18 and the Holy Grail Kush. But are these new genetics stable? Or is it the type of strain where u have to plant 10 seeds to find a good one? Is it hermie prone?

I always loved the AK47 from back in the day. Serious Seeds offer the feminized version now. Unfortunately I came across couple posts that were saying the new AK47 is shit compared to the old one. Any truth to that?

My Kosher are all 5 almost exactly alike..no nanners and all look great at 7.5 weeks.

Got Holy Grail Kush going now and real pretty plants that are 2 ft tall and still in veg. No issues with germ rates and easy to grow I popped 4 seeds and got 2 diff pheno's. Another member on here has a grow and smoke report on this new strain if you want to check it out. Glad I ordered them they have great structure and about to be put in flower just waiting on some branches to mature so I can throw them in the E-Z cloner

AK47 as been reworked but its still a top notch strain.

Look into C99. Female seeds sell it and hybrids. Its a proven winner

I used to knock barneys years ago but his blue cheese is absoloutly awsome flavoured like berries with the true UK cheese traits

i've grown plenty of fem's from dna / reserva prevada, and not a one hermie amongst any of the things i have grown from them..

ive had good luck with dna and reserva product myself. the og 18 is very underrated imo I would compare it to the highest quaility og on the market.

Here are some recent pics of the RP Sour Diesel....If you have plenty of room and patience then I suggest growing this strain as she is fairly easy to grow just dont go haywire with the nutes and she will be fine

I'm growing an AK-47, OG #18, and Blue Cheese right now. It is my first time growing any of thses strains, but these are some of the best looking strains out there from what I have read about them. So far the AK-47 is loving being topped. My Blue Cheese is a mutant growing weird looking leaves after I topped her. The OG #18 is looking great too. I'm still vegging these plants while my Auto LA Diva finishes up. I will be flipping to 12/12 in a few weeks. You can check out my journal for pics.

You growing AK-47 from serious seeds? I grew out two about a year ago and got 2 diff phenos. One was more sativa dominant and the other was more indica, the sativa dominant was super potent and heady I actually had to smoke something different just to balance the high it was bananas lol. The indica dominant pheno wasnt that good imo though

Ive grown RP Sour Diesel and it gave me the flucks!! I grew it from a clone maybe thats why I had so many issues. Maybe the guy I got it from didnt really have a good pheno. It grew weird. Its fit the description perfectly but I had fat indica looking leaves and It finished in 7-8 weeks. It hermied on me everytime. I grew it three times from the same clone. But the taste smell and high was there. It was classic sour diesel just didnt grow and look like sour diesel. Off two plants I got a 1/2 pound of seeded dank. Im currently growing Og, Og 18, Og 18 x skunk, Kosher kush, Holygrail Kush, and 91 chemdawg. All from RP (except the Chem) and the all are looking good. I made a big seed order and decided to treat myself to some goodies. I like RP strains. OG18 is the shit!! Ive grown it from seed before and was some off the best og and bud I ever smoked. I hope to get some great results off the others since its my first time growing them. I will definitely order a pack of the RP sour diesel when i get some time. I know its a good pheno out there somewhere

If you are scrogging you might want to try Rp Sour Kush, im scrogging it out right now at day 11 of 12/12 seems real stable so far, and not really to sensitive about the nutes, not a bigger eater per se, but easy to clone for me and it is my first ever try at cloning, cloned in a week.

707 is right the og 18 is underated that and kosher is bomb

I got too many strains i wanna grow now, and i think i havta either scratch the kosher or the OG18.
Is there a reason why u didnt pick up the OG18?

Right now I really wanna grow a plant each Sour Diesel, Super Lemon Haze, Kosher Kush, Kandy Kush, AK47, OG 18 for my long flowering strains run. However I only have space for 4 maybe 5.
Actually before that run, i had already planned to complete a scrog of shorter flowering strains: C99, C99, Pineapple Express, Blueberry Gum, Power Kush. This line up is pretty much it and i will start mid August, which should finish by late Nov-Dec. Right after harvest I will bring in the pre vegged long flowering strains..

u make me wanna get the AK47 again lol.. C99 i will get. Blue Cheese eh? I only hear good things about that one. However I never really had cheese, tried a number of different strains.. but never a real cheese. so i have no idea what to expect.

I have the kandy kush scrogging in veg right now, and she is a lanky gal, she grows crazy, that probably is just the train wreck in it, but would be scared to let her just grow without the screen, she can be super long and lanky, plus check out ottermunky's kandy kush waterfarm, wow made me get those right after reading that one. peace and respect

As for new AK I can't speak to that, we've kept the same Clone around since 2001, it's a heavy ass producer and killer stone. As for the new being shit compared to the old, you're probably seeing people that have got a poorly grown AK recently and remember getting super stoned on it 10 years ago, nothings ever as good as it was in black and white

Think back to that herb that got you super stoned when you were (whatever age you started, i'm not yet 35 and have 20 years under my belt, i'm not proud) you know the one that really stuck out.... your tolerance and experience were minimal, sure it was probably good but probably average also.

I grew out blue cheese last year outdoors and really enjoyed it. A little fluffy and the yield isn't the greatest, but when i comes to taste and the quality of the buzz, it was top notch. I had more of a blueberry leaning pheno.

I got some Serious seeds Ak-47 going now. She's only around 5 1/2 weeks into flower but really starting to put on weight!! Should end up with atleast 2.5 to 3ozs of stinky, danky, stinky goodness lol.
