Sound Like a Plan?

Ok just wanted to run this past some experienced growers, but Im thinking if I veg my next girls long enough to mainline for 8 heads, then put her into flower when the tops have reached the rim of my pot, then use a tomatoe ring to hold them,if all gos well does that sound like a plan, and basicly be a scrog, without the screen?I would start in solo cups and transplant into 3 gallon pots a week or two before putting her into flower.

When I grow large plants I use 9 buckets with tomato stands under 1 1000 watter. 1 plant might not be a good idea like fuking said. Lol. Nice user name.

Your plan is a good one....thats how I do it! If your mainlinging you are growing 8 mains that will produce some large colas. You can scrog a mainline but your plan is fine and those rings work perfect for supporting the 8 main colas you can run 6 along the outside of the ring and two inside. SCROG is a little different type of growing style not the same as mainlining technically. I go from solo cups to (2) gallons where they are trained then about a week before flower they go to 5 gallon smartpots. You will want larger pots due to long veg times which means more root development so transplanting before flower is a good idea. You have read Nug Buckets thread right??? If not it is a must read, follow his instructions and you will love the results. I have had my best yields with this method. I did a side by side with Topping for 4 mains as well.

Thanks for the replies guys.Crock Ill go look up Nug Buckets thread now. Here is the start of my mainlining, youll notice some discoloration on older leaves but this girl was actually in flower,I started some 12/12 from seed ladies, but I took her out to do this so thats what Im putting the discolouration down to.2014-02-27 20.08.22.jpg
