Sos please help/suggest

Hello RIU,
in feb sometime, i am going on holiday. My plants atm are at 5-6 wks and i have just had a heart attack... What AM i going to do with my soil-grown plants.... i have roughly 5-6 wks before i go... not enough time to finish my plants before i go... i will be on holiday for 2-3 wks

Please suggest how i can keep my plants watered/alive

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS!
i have 5 white widow and 1 sour cream (all fem)

i was thinking of buying one of these watering things that will keep my plants watered using drippers or a mat

Please help, they need to be able to live for 3 weeks (under my 125w CFL or the 400w HPS)

I am gritting my teeth for the fire risk/electrical problem

I think the best thing to do in your situation would be to treat those plants like they were a hydro grow while you are away. Calculate how many gallons you use for you plants and find a resevoir that will hold three weeks worth of water. There are some digital timers that would allow you to run a water pump for X amount of time on certain days instead of every day. So you could get a pump, run hoses and drip nozzles to each plant, set the timer and forget about it.

Sure it will cost you some scratch, but its better than coming back to compost.....

How about those glass bulb things you fill with water and stick in the soil? I never used them before, so i don't know how long they'll keep them watered. Maybe it says on the box? Maybe you can Google it and find out? Also, maybe you could make some bigger ones yourself, like out of some 3 liter bottles or something? Just a suggestion.

Also, cover the top of your soil with black plastic, and that will hold the moisture in alot longer.

I do but he cant... hes got a suspended liscence and cant get to my house to water them... i do like the idea of treating them like hydro and with a system like that... i can have it running for the rest of my grow...
i was thinking of putting a water butt on my roof with a hose running down into a 4L bottle. The water can then be used from the 4L bottle to water my plants

im guessing they would take about 200ml's every other day each so 200x6 is 1200 (1.2L) every other day... I will also make sure the plant pots are covered all over in black plastic to keep moisture in

I got ALOT of thinking to do.

Put the plants in a tray with a deep sides to it a hour or so before you go wet the plants through with feed and i mean realy soak the suckers.Then fill the tray with water makeing sure that you drill holes in the sides of the pots so the plants can pull in any water that they will need.But 3 weeks is a long time to leave plants unatended so if you can get a mate or someone who you trust to come in once every few days and give them some water then i would go for this way.I would also put the plants in the largest tubs that you can fit in the room bigger tubs hold more water so the plants should only need feeding once a week any how.This is a realy hard one bro because a 1000 things could go wrong.........
