SOS Knowledgeable Farmers and HVAC Techs Needed

So Im still in the designing process of my new room. I have a small amount of space with Big dreams for the near future.
- I have a 2 Ton Mini Split AC system and only a 10 x 13 ft room.
-I have been told I still need to do some "Ductwork" /or "Return air Supply/ Plenum" installation.

My Questions are:
Is this true? I want to Know who has the right answers. Whats the Best way I should handle this in order to get full use of my room and ac ?

The system is a Samsung UH070CAV/ Indoor EH070CAV
-The Plan is to use (3) 1000Watt HPS for flowering and T5's for clones and (2) 600watt MH's for Veg.
The room has no windows or real roofing. (meaning there is a double plated 2x4x8roofing design not your average 2x6x So the Indoor AC unit will be exposed that is fine.

Kinda not understanding your question. Whats the ductwork gonna be for exactly?

Anyways looks like you've got it backwards, the minisplit should be in the flower area, and its gonna suck only being able to go inside when flower lights are on.

The Question is:
Is it mandatory to have ductwork and a return air supply with this type of ac in order to have Proper Ventilation in 3600 Watt Grow Room?

The Duct Work would be to have air flow between the two rooms. Im not sure if that is the best option but its what I've been contemplating. Any other ideas are gladly accepted.

And in the design I have not placed the indoor unit anywhere yet the Outdoor Unit will be just out side the smaller room.

Well the answer is it depends. I wouldn't though.

Basically if you want to achieve the same air temp in both rooms or at least really close then yes your gonna need duct work.

But why would you? I'd put the mini split in the flower room. If the veg room gets too hot, then put a 6 inch fan on the wall and a filter for the return somewhere else. Assuming 2x4 wall with no insulation between studs where you put the filter, you can trim out a furnace filter holder and mount that up high or down low. Then have the intake on the otherside of the wall on the opposite, high or low. This works for a good light block.

You could do it fancier but this is the easiest I can think off, and the easiest to tear down.

Best to use a 2 head mini split.

Or just get a blower and a square to round and cut a hole through your wall and drop am elbow so their is no light leak and let it blow into your second room.

I would recommend the double split also. If you try to cool both area's down with just 1 you will have to cool the area the split unit is in down about 10 degree's cooler than your target temp in the other area. So if it's in the veg area, to keep your flower at 75, you would be vegging at 65 and that would slow things way down in veg.imo As far as needing a cold air return , that is something more to do with heating. You do need some air intakes and exhaust though for proper air changes in the room if the structure is sealed pretty good.

Thank you all for your replies . I am going to go with either the 6-inch fan and filter thru the veg and the mini split in the flower room , or the mini split in flowering and a portable 10,000 btu in veg ducting-into flower room with an elbow.
