Soooo many soils, so little time.

So, I've poked around here for a bit. I see alot of mentions about different soils, but no real thread about it. Maybe I committed a horrible oversight, or searched the wrong terms. Either way though, I plan on growing outside this year. Having never done this, I would like to know which soil you would reccommend. Some experiences with it would also be great. I live up in way northern cali (almost oregon), if that effects responses at all. I have very limited experience growing indoors, it's all been hydro though. Also, I am not opposed to homemade blends; provided you can show results, and it consists of easy to acquire/substitute ingredients. Thanks in advance folks!

I heats fox farms ocean forest is the best so I picked some up...just planted my seeds Sunday so we will see but it is nice and airy with worm castings, guano, and crab and fish meal (all great for your plants)...I found some at a local ace hardware and is ready to go out the bag with perlite and everything...no nutes need to be added

FFoF is well known for burning up seedlings and clones..also has a poor nute ratio for cannabis...it should be diluted at a ratio of 2/1 with FF's light warrior...Example. 2 cubic meters of FFoF per 1 cubic meter FFlW
