soo many questions.. running out of time.

so i would like to grow 36 (maybe 45 depending on veg time, oh and not counting clones) plants staggered style.
9 plants harvested every 3 weeks.
after many many discussions and days upon days of reading ive decided with flood and drain 5gal. buckets.
first 9 from clones under 600 mh for 3 weeks (possibly 6 still havent decided, feel free to chime in on this as well)
then flower for 9 under 1000 hps

now there are a few points im stuck on
first being light movers.
i cant find an example of an air cooled light system with a light mover... i will be running co2 in a sealed room
if i got a mover i would want it to be circular style.
i would have my 27 (only flowering) plants arranged in a symmetrical circle type pattern to lend itself to the circular light mover.
now my reasoning behind this is to optimize light for all plants hopefully increasing yeild..
but if i got a mover in a sealed co2 room my concern is temps.
ive heard that a mover will keep lights cool because of the air going over them
ive also heard that because air cooled systems require glass covered reflectors that the glass actually creates heat itself.. and thats where im stuck..
is it worth it to get a light mover or am i risking my room being too hot?
should i just stick with 3 pots x 3 pots (9pots) under a non moving light?
second question is could i make a light mover? and would anyone have any helpful tips on that?

another point im stuck on is STRAIN
huge newbie question for sure but i simply cant decide
just throw a few of your favorite good yielding strains i should be looking at that do well in indoor flood and drain

another point, again newbie
nutrients
god i have read everywhere and simply cant find an answer
maybe im just thick...

what nutrient mixture should i be giving my plants, at what stage of life should i be giving it that, and WHY!?
i cant find the why anywhere
it seems everyone just has these certain mixes they are told to add to their res at a particular time in the grow, but no one can tell me why they are adding it and why it helps...

thirsty for knowledge here

stay small in numbers. more plants = more work.
who will be helping you? if no one then keep the numbers low.

ok ok ill bite....
so lets say i do 5 plants a light all my questions still stand
and i have a new one..

will the 5 plants yield the same as if i were to do the 9
im also on the fence about sog or scrog
i have not found any solid evidence that it will increase yield
id like to do uncle bens 4 cola topping method and maybe in conjunction with scrog
definitely doing lst
and then someone suggested suppercropping but im not sure if that would go well with the other techniques

ive read so much but its hard finding specific answers to specific questions..
can some experienced people please chime in

stop thinking so much and start growing.

5 plants should not need a light mover.

You know enough to ask these questions to know they are open ended.
everyone does shit a little diff.

Start growing the yeild will be what you make it. not how many plants.

You could start 100 and still get nothing if you fuck them up.

I'm willing to bet that you know enough NOT to kill 100 plants.

im never good at deciding on these open ended questions..
i like reading reviews and hearing opinions
thanks for your input though it is appreciated

honestly my big problem is deciding on what strain i want to grow there are just so many to choose from

a couple points.

first, don't use light movers in flower. in veg they are a cool idea but as your primary light source in flower they will only decrease your yields. flowering plants need direct light for the 12 hours they are on. using a light mover will only reduce the amount of time that they are receiving optimal lighting. maybe if you put 3 hps and 1 mh bulb on a mover and the plants were always receiving direct light from one of them then it might work. or if you used the mover to push supplemental lighting around the room. using a mover to make a bulb cover twice as much area is a bad idea.

i'm not sure how you would be able to vent the lights out of the room on a mover; especially in a circular motion. you could hool a fan up to each hood and exhaust the air into the room but you would still need to compensate for it in cooling btu's. light movers themselves do not help keep lights cool.

strain is just to hard a question to answer. look at the options where you are going to buy from and look for a flwering time of 8-9 weeks with a high yielding strain. that should narrow it down.

for nutrients it depends on whether you are going soil or hydro in my opinion. that makes a huge difference in the nutrients you should use. if you are in soil/soiless then i would brew a tea and use house and garden 2 part soil or coco nute. you basically feed your plants a nute, tea, nute, tea schedule. works great. for hydro i use advanced. tons of other companies that can produce quality yields for you but i prefer advanced. they are a little more complicated to use so since you area new grower i wouldn't recommend them. try Dyna or GH.

good luck.

thanks a lot! that really helps

and since i have made this post i have read a lot on nutrients
ive seen all the brands and which apply to soil or hydro etc etc
but i still cant find why you use which specific nute at a specific time
everything seems very much like a recipe. which is ok i guess but id really like to know why im putting these solutions into my res rather than just trusting them
