something else or just plain bad luck ?

Hello, I have done numerous grows both inside & out but never with Autoflower seeds. With my order from Attitude I added 3 AF strains. 5 Hijack , 3Mig 29 & 3 ULH from Auto Seeds. The Tude cut my Hijack order to 3 ,(replaced them with some feminised Kush seeds). After further reading up on the ULH , (their lighting requirements are different as I am sure some of you already know), so I went with the HJ & MIG. All of the seeds germed in 24 hrs. & were put into rooting plugs afterwards. Put all under a 200W CFL in a dome. Light was 2 ft. above. All sprouted within 30 hrs. Moved them into the tent after 5-6 days with the CFL in 3 Gal Plant Warrior buckets.. After a couple days turned on a 400W Metal Halide 2 FT above the CFL fixture and had them both running 20/4. Plants ate it up. At 10 days did a 1/4 fert with General Organics Go Box & removed the CFL. Lowered the MH to 2 ft. No problem ! Went down to 12". Still not a problem. At day 16 from breaking ground the HJ all had pistils. A day, maybe 2 later ,the MIGS had funny round balls instead of Pistils. I thought I was seeing things. Feminized plants ? Autoflower ? All of the plants look great. Full, bushy except one HJ a little more stretched but the others all around 9" tall & flower sites everywhere on the HJ. But all of the MIGS are Male. Lost half my grow. I can see it happening to one, even 2, but all three? Ever had this happen to any of you ? I wondered about stress etc. but everything has been cool & the HJ are taking off with no ill effects at all. I sent Auto seeds a similar email & asked if they have heard from others about this happening with the Migs. No reply yet. Thought I would throw this out there.

I would demand a refund. I have NEVER gotten a male auto seed. That's some bullshit. Did you chop em down? You said you took the cfls out, I would put the ones with balls under the cfls and see what happens. Not around the females of course. But yeah I only buy my autos from nirvana, some may have Hermed a bit, that's the growers fault, 3/3 feminized seeds go male? No conquinsident, demand you're refund. Fuck attitude

Nirvana doesn't pull stock from same breeder? Hmmm.

Beyond that point, its rare to get an auto male but does happen. Google it. Ruderalis a female only strain, doubtful. The strain would have died off well before man learned it existed.

This said you can ask for a refund, if you google your situation you will see at times they have replaced beans at times.

200 watts on sprouts seems a bit high to me. There is a few hocus pocus theories out there, but light is known for causing hermies so I see no reason why they cant be stressed into being males by lighting from the start.
Another thing many say is heat/humidity range. I don't use a dome on seeds or cuts either.

I generally use a 35 watt cfl during bean sprouting. I keep the light away and set 18 on and far from the plant. As they begin showing cotyledons I move this light in close as hell to them. While they develop roots and form first true leaves is the time any of my plants meet higher watts then the 35 watt bulb.

Also doubt you will get any reply from Attitude, as their policy is All cannabis seeds / marijuana seeds are for educational and Souvenir purposes only .

This said most seed houses say that, but Attitude is a great source of beans with above average customer service, consider it a luck of the draw and try again.

Thanks for your thoughts. I can see some validity to what you are saying about the lights. This time I only used the dome for 2-3 days with vents open full last day. I thought it was rare as well that this would happen. I pulled 2 of the 3 from the tent. Nice root structure in the plug & around it for being 22 days old. I'm not expecting much as far as receiving beans back from Attitude. I was aware of their policy up front, plus I have a nice supply of photo seeds. We'll see how the 3 HJ's go . I'm hoping for a rewarding Harvest. Will be switching to 400W HPS in a few weeks. Was going to run the Halide all the way thru but now want a little more size.

No problem. Hey worse case, you can breed your own autos, lol. Sorry bad pun, I know it sucks, we all have been there a time or two. Best of wishes and hope someone else can provide some better insight then just, a seed house sucking. If I had a dollar for every hate post I read in a forum I read with no actual proof, I'd be a rich man buying smoke, not growing it. Shit always happens at a bad time, for some reason.
