I was thinking about when I get a 400w hps/mh that I might want to do it a little differently. I has thinking about putting in 8 clones under a 400w hps/mh and vegging them out till they get too big. Hopefully by this time they will be about a foot tall then i will take 4 plants out and put them in a dark place for 12 hours then switch them out with the other 4.

So, the lamp will be running the whole time through out the grow and i will be switching them out manually. Im sure someone has thought of this before and would love some input on my probably flawed idea.

the only con i can think of is that i would have to switch them out every 12 hours.

youve answered your own question.who wants to have to be there every 12 hours,for two months.i find myself running like crazy just to be there to water them every few days.

It's a pretty creative idea I hadn't thought of, but it would be a hassle to have to be there on schedule every day and night, plus the smell would have to be controlled in 2 areas.
