Some strains don't amber!

Again even then, it's all about strain and tricks and the hairs themselves. If a plant is in 4 weeks of flower and hairs turned brown and receded,
Yea sorry if you have seen a strain do this, my ignorance as I haven't grown many strains at all.. I just haven't seen a plant with brown receding hairs and swollen in 4 weeks. What strain was that?

OK I got a girl second time flowering her first time caring and checking. Strain is gorilla cookies (gorilla glue #4 X cookie wreck) from expert seeds, seedsman. The girl is around 59 days from full bloom, around 70 days from flip of 12/12 suggested time for this strain from seedsman is 55 to 70 days flower! Sorry I can't do good pics of trics but u can take my word, not a single amber tric most cloudy very very few clear. I've heard some strains don't amber, could this be one? Any help is appreciated I'll tag my journal in a min.

The pics posted are from about a week ago will post new pics in a few hours when lights go off and I can get sone good pics

Many newer strains, do not amber!
There are Sativa's that do not amber period. No matter how long ago that strain was built.
I see that most of the new uber potent strains, do not amber.

To be short. No, that strain does not amber.

A #4 that is done.

This photo, taken just minutes before harvest. Shows swollen calyx's and receded pistils. Trichomes are cloudy.

Forget about the trichomes for a second, look at the picture above, more specifically the hairs.
Look how old dry and thin and short they look compared to the waxy light green to white appearance when they first appear.
There is no more obvious sign of ripeness. There may be points before this when you can harvest, but if you go much later, this becomes night time weed.

As I am a former Sativa gardener, I know not all strains show amber and Colorado Thunder Fuck showed creamy amber at 3 weeks or so. Some go from clear/cloudy to cloudy/amber in a couple days and for others it is weeks long process. Watch for darkened pistils to recede and especially for the plant to suddenly stop drawing water!

Get a scope!

First, what are the trichs like, they look mostly cloudy. If so , whack away. Also depends on what else is in there. I run perpetual and would get it out of there.

its a gorilla glue plant that hermied sadly. I dont mind it. its one of my fav strains and now I can continue to try and grow it better due to seed production. with the 1200W light I have its hard to get good pics. the trichs do kinda look cloudy but it is hard to tell since my loupe is only a 30x. its the only plant in the area I have only grown now 2 plants. first was untrained and chopped early this one already looks 10x better and has a lot more bud production. is it true I may never get amber trichs? ive been going off the look for amber trichs when ready to harvest

also my last 2 questions. ive heard the time to harvest is a big factor. im currently using only fox farms big bloom. do I need to flush still since its all organic? ive also been told that I should let it sit in 24-48 hours darkness before harvesting and to only harvest in the dark since the plant isn't taking in as much nutrients during "sleep"

Gg4 always hermies, it was made from a 3way, and is prone to hermi. I get a few beans every single time I run her. Dont pay it any mind, just toss the beans. Josey whales cut of gg4, takes right at 60 days give or take a day depending on environment. If you run it 60 days and chop you will be happy.
