Some quick advice

Just need some advice on potential setup.

I wanna grow 3 plants in a 4 x 2 box/cabinet. Ultimately I would like to grow 2 indicas and 1 larger sativa at the same time.

Is this enough space for 3 plants (more worried about the width then length)

How high should i make the box to grow a nice sativa, looking at Nevilles Haze.

Would a 400w HPS be enough potential light or do I need to go up to 600? I'd like to keep it lower cause in my current setup heat is a bit of problem.

you wont get away with a 400/600w hps in a 4x2 grow space bro...

if heat is a problem then mayb u should go with some cfl lights instead of the hps lighting, the hps seem to run hotter than cfl in everything that i have read

cfl's give off virtually no heat, mh/hps lights will send temps through the roof as they are very hot. You will need good ventilation to keep the temps down (drawing hot air outside) but this wouldnt even be possible to do on 4x2 space. Might be able to get away with a 150/250w hps with GOOD ventilation and cool tubes etc.

But my advice would defo be stick to CFL's & flourecents in that sort of space.

And stick to Indica too. You'll need about 12 feet, at least 8 feet, in height to get a sativa mature and fully Flowered.

I growing indicas and sativas the only problem you will get is the indicas shoot up in height and this means that you have to have your light high ,but your sativa's are much shorter so you have to keep putting them on something to keep the light on them evenly.it would be far better if the indicas had there own light and make sure that you have at least 8/10 foot height.i'm growing arjons ultra haze#1 and belive me these plants are huge 7/8 ft no problem in week 5/6 not forgetting that these can flower for 12.15 week so make sure that you have plenty of room greenhouse do a small indica i forget it's name but this would be more suited to a small grow area.

Wrong info here - Sativas will grow much taller than Indica strains. Sativas will often get three times the height they are at the beginning of flower.
Sativas usually take longer in flowering than Indicas as well.

Personaly with the ammount of space you have i would go for a 250hps with a small compact fan for air movement.then you are gonna need a small fan to pull the stagnent air out.air filters that they have in a bathroom that pull all the condensation out are ideal for small grow ops i have one in each one of my grow rooms and they seem to be doing there job well good.you can get these in the uk for about a tenner thats with everthing that you are gonna need.

Yeah, well experienced in small fans. Currently using an array too cool my cabinet. 1 intake, 1 out take, and 2 minis sucking air from my hood.

I could possibly get the width to 30inches, would this make a difference?

I was gonna try a cool tube, and moving to a better vented room.

If i need i can fork out for a small aircon unit.

tyke: As others said, i think you have indica and sativa confused. As to height issue, i was gonna have the cooltube permanently mounted up high, and use blocks to raise and lower plants individually.

Would a 250w be enough to grow a sativa and 2 indicas?

If i could get air temp under control, would it be possible to run a larger hps, or am i dreaming, or is it unnecessary?
