I topped these critters about two months ago after having established them and watered them every three days for several months, after the sprites arrived I watered them every day and gave them 10-10-10 food, seems like they liked it,I'm wondering how large I should let them grow before I root them individualy and see what the bases produce next.

Nice man. How fast do they grow under ideal conditions? No cacti in these parts. Not unless that global warming stuff the liberals are always talking about is true. If that's the case I might be hitting you up for a few cutting in a couple years. :)

Damn. You really have a few different projects going. I would have to wait until I have more space b4 I can start with the cacti. Good stuff man.

Yes, San Pedro, got 17 feet off of the tops of those but had to subtract 5 because I replanted the growing tips. I was struck by just how many sprites grew in such a short amount of time - those sprites didn't exist a month ago.

They grow well over a foot a year - or a foot a season. Planting 10 of them yields roughly 3 doses a year. It does not have to be desert for them to grow, they like the sun and if you ensure that they drain well they will grow about anywhere.

I remember you mentioning this cacti project that you were doing/going to do a while back. Especially the part of what you intend to use them for. Sprucing up the old garden are we? Or...

With cactus you have to plan way way way ahead.
